Hydrangeas are like the show-stoppers of the floral world! Their large, voluminous blooms bring such a vibrant, luxurious feel to any bouquet. They really do add that perfect blend of colour, texture, and a bit of elegance.

Whether you’re using them as the focal point in a bouquet or as an accent flower, they bring a certain grace and charm that’s hard to beat. Plus, their ability to last in vases for a long time means you get to enjoy their beauty even longer. A unique characteristic of hydrangeas is their ability to absorb water not only through their stems but also directly through their petals (sepals). This means that when hydrangeas start to wilt, you can help revive them by misting the petals or even submerging the flower head in cool water.

As the hot weather returns, here are a few tips to keep your flower arrangements fresh and fabulous! 💐

Fresh flowers bring joy and beauty into any space — but they need a little TLC:

💧 Change the water every 2–3 days
✂️ Trim the stems at an angle before placing in a vase
☀️ Keep flowers out of direct sunlight & away from heat
🚫 Remove any leaves below the water line
🌿 Add flower food (or a splash of lemonade or a very weak solution of bleach)
💧 Basket arrangements, keep the oasis hydrated – Gently pour water directly onto the floral foam (oasis) every day to keep it moist and nourishing your blooms.

Treat your flowers right, and they’ll brighten your space for days! 🌼💐
