Weโ€™re linking up a young indie band with a new drummer ahead of a run of summer gigs.

If youโ€™re 14โ€“17, from around Port Talbot, and into that Arctic Monkeys / Catfish / garage rock kind of sound โ€” this could be your in.

Weekly rehearsals. Gigs lined up. Proper involvement in writing.
Good energy only. No egos.

Town of Culture/Tref Diwylliant

Jackson Lucitt is a singer/songwriter from Port Talbot.

Drawing on his personal experiences in his writing, his songs explore working class culture, relationships and mental health.

A regular in local venues who promote live original music, he has also released several singles to streaming services, in 2022 he performed at the In It Together festival in Margam.

Outside of his own music, Jackson runs Shiny Vinyl Presents, promoting other local talent.

He's pictured here performing at the legendary Taibach pub, The Bell in 2024.
