We at SVP would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year in 2026, as we reflect on the past year in the context of it being five years since becoming a not for profit label.
In that time, we have exceeded our objectives with 49 releases across all streaming platforms, resulting in 132 homegrown songs, continuing to find their audiences both here and across all continents.
This year has been jam packed with quality as our 6 releases in the first half of the year, resulted in 26 Port Talbot bangers getting out into the wild.
Brian Karrot - kicking the year off with his 11th release, the fantastic single 'Fiery Jack'
Hoskins Phenomenon - returning with a first release in three years with the single 'The Splashman (Feat. Ken Bruce)'
blowing us all away with their 2nd single 'State of You'
Aubrey Straw delivering another nostalgic 10 track album with 'Extended Pleasures'
Strawbrian Players Convention compiling their 5 track 'Yes I Do Shuffle, Wonders Stupid Clown EP'
Hoskins Phenomenon then topping it all of with their critically acclaimed 8 track work of hart 'Hoskins the He-Pee' and all the fantastic sub-textual promotion that came with it!
It's also the first year our artists have been recognised by with two nominations for best album Dai Williams & 505 Friends 'Overneath' and Aubrey Straw 'Extended Pleasures'.
Then there's been all the support in promoting our fantastic live venues, including the home of original PT music .ales & Fine Wines with our Spotlight nights, Independent Venue Week and of course, ShunkFest in its third successive year of being the leading original music festival in our area.
Testiment to them for bringing to play at the venue last night to top off a fine year indeed.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported our artists through streaming, following, sharing, playlisting and supporting them live... Without you the challenge would be futile.
