Raw vegan carrot cake. It’s sweet and gooey, gently spiced and made with only natural sugars. Especially good shared with family and friends. Getting a bit of my creative mojo back. This cake is roughly based on a beautiful recipe by but I seem unable to exactly follow a recipe, so my version included lots of seeds 🤣

When Summer leaves I always feel a bit melancholy, those carefree days with the the sun warming everything...bliss....the thought of winter, and all it brings fills me with a vague gloom. Luckily though, as Autumn creeps into winter I start to love the cold and the change of light and the clothes I can wear and most importantly for a chef, the food I can eat. Warming soups, spiced curry’s and dals a few extra carbs than usual. Oh yes!! Come and sample some of my cheerful acceptance of winter food tomorrow at I’m there all day.

Halloween Pumpkin, squash and ginger soup made! ✅ Mini lemon Cheatscakes made! ✅ ( individual versions of the one in the picture!) The Snix have been chocolate dipped and Kate Bush has kept me company in my kitchen on this Samhain eve. Come and sample some spooky delights, lunch is served tomorrow.
