🌤️ Morning tent collection turned into a full-blown insect invasion 🐞😱

Pulled up to pack away some bell tents, only to find the site absolutely swarming with ladybirds — we’re talking thousands. They must’ve mistaken our setup for their summer resort, because they came out in force… and made poor Ben their main attraction.

Cue Ben legging it across the grounds like he owed them rent 😂🎪🐞

We were told it was a birthday party. We expected calm. Maybe cake. What we got? Fifteen sixteen-year-olds charging in like it was Glasto and we were VIP backstage lounges.

First came the shouting—apparently someone “wasn’t vibing with the corner.” Then the snacks arrived, and we feared for the groundsheet. And don’t even get me started on the hair straightener powered by a questionable extension lead.

But as the sun went down and the fairy lights twinkled above us, something magical happened. Laughter echoed, music played, and we stood proud—grass stains and all—like festival icons holding space for memories.

We’re tired, slightly skewed on our pegs, but honoured. Happy birthday, you glorious, chaotic humans. 🍰💃🌙
