I was delighted to have been invited to come back to cn4c to deliver some DJ and music production workshops for the "Toast" students.
One student was quite keen and already had a bit of experience in radio and bedroom DJing. For this student the emphasis was improving his DJ set up and knowledge of the software. He also got hands on with a synth & a vocoder & drum machine. This enabled him to lay down a basic track that was 100% authentically his own work.
Is DJing skills culminated in performing a live mash up of 2 songs he wanted to emulate. I'm happy to say that this was achieved 😎
Another student had very little experience, but gave it a go and learned how to make a beat in studio one production software.
We also explored the equipment used and how to use it safely during setup (The mooring bit perhaps, but still important 😊)
