Good morning everyone,
Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us over the weekend. To the bands, stage crew, our incredible team, traders, electricians, security, and those who have offered advice and support online — we truly appreciate every single one of you.
As this was our first year, it was always intended to be a learning experience. That’s why we made the decision to keep the event free for the public and only charge traders a small percentage of their takings.
We went into this knowing it would come at a financial loss, but we are committed to building something long-term — and we are absolutely not giving up.
We’re pleased to say we are already booked in for next year, and our aim is to come back bigger, better, and more organised. We would genuinely value your feedback — if you attended, please let us know what worked well and where we can improve.
We already recognise that clearer signage and stronger advertising will be key areas for development. We are also currently building a website to support future events and improve communication.
We will also be arranging a meeting with local residents in the near future. It’s really important to us that we work alongside the community and ensure the event is enjoyable for everyone.
We would also like to apologise to those who were disappointed by the cancellation of the fireworks. In all honesty, after a challenging period with the weather, we felt deflated and made the difficult decision to cancel. With hindsight, we know this was disappointing, and we take full responsibility. We will ensure this is handled much better in future.
Looking ahead, next year’s opening times will change slightly: Friday: 5pm start Through to 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday
To our traders — we understand that some were unhappy with the 20% contribution. We’ve listened, and next year there will be no pitch fee and no percentage taken. We want to create an environment where everyone can succeed.
We are fully committed to making this festival a success and will go above and beyond to improve.
Finally, we’re sorry to anyone we may have disappointed this year, and we truly appreciate your support, patience, and feedback as we grow.
