Nice healthy plate of food done today, home cured matcha tea & lemon sea trout, with pickled cucumber, radish, kohlrabi & courgette (all different flavour pickles) so**ed fennel with pink grapefruit all from the estates walled garden, also on the plate is homemade aubergine caviar, freshly made herb oil, cherry tomatoes & pomegranate… phew!

Apparently is the best plate of food they have tasted of mine, so I’m hoping that’s a compliment 🤣

The weather maybe rubbish, but the food doesn’t need to be.
A little lunch time dish of authentic Burrata, grilled peaches, heirloom tomatoes, blackberries, toasted cashews, sat on a Lebanese salad.
But the amazing co-star to the burrata is the pomegranate molasses.

When you start off with ingredients as good as this then all you need is a little bit of knowledge & a lot of love ❤️

As a private chef I worry about finding the ingredients I used in commercial kitchens, ingredients I was only able to by with large accounts.
But yesterday I found a little gem of a shop, hidden away down a side street in Wetherby called ‘& Salt’
Run by a very experienced chef & ex private chef herself, so very knowledgeable & keen to help.
I found everything I needed & more, products I know & loved, & a lot I fell in love with.
So, home cooks & especially professional cooks, if you want to take your food to the next level then please go & support this lady ❤️
