ALL UPCOMING EVENTS!

Here's a roundup of all the events I am running over the next few weeks. As always your ticket includes tea and cake (although I might have time to actually bake for some of these sessions, so it might be fresh bread! 🥖) Dietary requirements will of course always be considered and incorporated.

Tarot & Oracle: Friday 25th April, 7-9pm, £25PP, at Devilcat Studios, Regent St, Leeds LS2 7QN.
Join us for a workshop focusing on tarot and oracle cards: how to read them, their origins, symbolism, and how to work with them. Rather than going through all 78 cards in a traditional tarot deck, we will focus on the imagery of each card, and learn how to interpret what you see. We will also discuss oracle cards and affirmation cards, as well as different tarot spreads- basically everything you need to know to get really stuck into tarot!

Beltane: Sunday 27th April, 2-4pm, £15pp at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract, 4 Belks Court, WF8 1DF.
Join us for a session all about Beltane: it's origins, themes, rituals, and crystal associations. Everything you would need to know in preparation for Beltane on May 1st. The photo in the image above shows the craft will be making- a gorgeous customisable pentacle wall charm.

Herbs & Spell Jars: Sunday 4th May, 2-4pm, £15pp at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract, 4 Belks Court, WF8 1DF.
This session will include an introduction to herbal magic, and then a discussion of 20 different herbs and their magical and medicinal properties. Then we will discuss spell jars, and you'll get the chance to make your own spell jar.

I offer one free companion place for anyone attending who has access needs and would benefit from bringing someone along for support. Just get in touch to arrange this — I’m happy to help.

Last year, I ran two different herb workshops and you guys LOVED them! I ran several sessions and I thought everyone who wanted to learn a bit about herbal magic had already attended... But recently I have been asked about these sessions several times! So I'm going to be running these sessions again, starting with herbs & spell jars.

This session will include an introduction to herbal magic, and then a discussion of 20 different herbs and their magical and medicinal properties. Then we will discuss spell jars, and you'll get the chance to make your own spell jar. As always your ticket includes tea and cake (although I might have time to actually bake for this one, so it might be fresh bread! 🥖)

This session will be at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract, on Sunday 4th May, 2-4pm and costs £15pp.

🔥BELTANE GATHERING🔥

After a fantastic weekend celebrating our wedding, I'm back to announce a new workshop...

Join us for a session all about Beltane: it's origins, themes, rituals, and crystal associations. Everything you would need to know in preparation for Beltane on May 1st.

This session will be on Sunday 27th April, 2-4pm, at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract, 4 Belks Court, WF8 1DF.

If you contact the shop, they will direct you back to me as I'm handling all the bookings for this ❤️ My responses may be spotty between the 5th and 13th of April as we will be on our honeymoon- I will get back to you when I can.

Well, that's a wrap on the Tarot & Oracle workshops at ! Thanks to all the people who came yesterday and made it such a friendly, inclusive, safe space. You know you're with a good bunch of people when the underwire in your bra can snap in half in the middle of the session and everyone just laughs it off!😂

I'll be running this session again but in Leeds at the wonderful .studio on Friday 25th of April. Check out my other posts for more information and message me to book. Please note that this weekend is my wedding and then a few weeks later I'm on my honeymoon, so replies may be delayed. 🫶

Thanks so much to everyone who attended today, it was a lovely friendly session and I loved every minute of it!

I think it's probably time to reintroduce myself...

Hello, I’m Derry, a Yorkshire-based witch (she/they pronouns) who loves the sea, divination, and herbs. I run witchy workshops across Yorkshire and I am eager to meet more people, share my knowledge, and learn along the way.

I’ve been on my path for 6 years, but I’ve always felt different—like I’ve been called to this. I find peace in forests and near water, though I enjoy city adventures too. My happy place is floating on water, with the sun on my face, and wind brushing my cheeks.

I’ve been a student my whole life, quitting my PhD on February 11th, 2025. I’ve been in full-time education for years—GCSEs, A-Levels, Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD. I’ve always wanted to be a researcher and academic, but the pressure and systemic issues in academia were overwhelming. Leaving academia and leaving the PhD was the most difficult decision of my life so far, but I know in my soul that it's the right one.

Alongside studying, I’ve worked in various roles: bar manager, support worker, lecturer, research assistant, museum staff, and more recently, at The Hidden Gem crystal shop in Pontefract. Working with crystals and meeting incredible people has inspired me to expand my workshops across Yorkshire. So, that’s me—full of mess and magic!

After an overwhelming response to our first workshop, I'm happy to announce another date for our Tarot & Oracle workshop at . This session will run on Sunday 16th March, 2-4pm, at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract, 4 Belks court, WF8 1DF.

This will not be a Rider–Waite (traditional) deck, but something different! As always the wonderful little witchy shop at The Hidden Gem will be open for browsing afterwards.

✨FIRST WORKSHOP IN LEEDS!✨
