Feeling mixed emotions today 😭😁 as yesterday I Was sat flower arranging knee deep in greenery and bright flowers….. dressing wedding accessories and creating items perfecting what I believe I’m good at…..

Today is my LAST couples wedding day set up I’ll be doing and tomorrow Tuesday is my LAST ever Wedding day I’ll be part of and all day coordinating

happy couple booked in 2017 so it’s been a long wait and it’ll be a special day all round

What will life be like with no brides in my life!!!!

Going to work today is a bit more special today it’s one of my best friends wedding day and I got the job of decor queen 🎀…. And then a guest 💗

It’s so Much more pressure when you say your good at your job and then and you’ve gotta prove it….

So sorry for the social silence the past year I have been crazy busy creating weddings, being part of weddings, playing catch ups with holidays from lockdowns and most of all trying to be a good wifey mum and nanny 💗

I’m Back to it so prepare for the social media haul of the past years wedding set ups 😅 but first here’s a few of just MY precious family time pics from the past year…. Family time is important when you work in the Hospitality business as weekends off don’t happen it’s werk werk werk

It’s Time to LET IT GO……My Real talk as the owner of Come2Gether Weddings & Events by Kelly Neno:

I want to tell everyone where I am with Come2Gether right now… August 2022! Up until now I didn’t have a life that was particularly interesting anymore before covid as most days I was a wannabe Rhianna and I just werk werk werk werk werk! 👊🏾, but I understood that my business WAS my life and my dream job and I worked that hard to get recognized in the Wedding industry. I chose this path I worked alongside lots of high end Venues & Hotels, I was booked out 3 4 5 sometimes 6 days of the week working weddings from March - December year in year out…. I loved getting up at 5am getting home 10pm because I believed I was born to style wedding venues for gorgeous couples.

Then the other 7 days of the week I was not only a wife a mother etc I was the face of my fabulous business The busy Wedding planner, The admin assistant who created her Wednesdays as wedding Wednesday doing admin.. 7 days a week working late evenings going to visit couples or inviting them into my home to do consultations and standing at their wedding day involved fully as their decorator and / or master of their ceremonies to make Come2Gether Weddings successful ❤️

I was continuously planing, creating and organizing and then trying to keep marketing myself with social posts because while my life was NOT Instagrammable, my business needed to be ….

Then Covid struck me out of work for 14 months making our industry impossible to survive…… with nothing to do everyday no means of income no grants… it caused chaos with my booking system having to move hundreds of couples dates around… then covid struck again…… more date changes more saying no sorry I’m fully booked until 2022/2023 in 2020!

2021 saw Come2Gether return…. Few weddings here and there, which I never posted on my social media as there were sensitive times with many weddings during and after Lockdowns…
I felt I had out of date stock as I found it hard to buy new fancy stock to keep up with Pinterest….. loads of lockdown wedding businesses started or creating balloon businesses, or venues offering all in house styling etc…. I didn’t want to do outside the box I wanted my business BACK…

my mojo had definitely gone, I’d also become a nanny to a gorgeous granddaughter during Lockdown my heart melted, I looked at my life differently and thought I actually would like a weekend WITH MY HUSBAND, my Friends, My Family or an evening out or overnight sleepover with my Granddaughter….. I had so much guilt about wanting my life back my thoughts were I don’t think I have my passion for my business anymore 😢….. I’ve struggled to get myself to admit it could be the end because when I’m working with my couples or I’m planning I’m not prepared to let it go BUT…..

I’m letting go…..

I have stopped taking bookings for 2023 and have had a busy 2022 I’ve 2 more weddings left to do and a few special occasions in 2023 but no more UK weddings that’s why I’ve had to turn so many bookings away 😪

😭 thank you to all my support where people constantly just constantly recommending myself 😘 SHARING and LIKING my posts

I will however be continuing to work with my OverSeas venues in helping couples find their dream overseas wedding venues and Wedding planner’s so I will still be in touch with my wedding business and my page WILL remain active

I have a lot of stock to sell off if anyone is interested in anything at a later date…..

Sorry to have exhausted you with this very long post….. but I wanted to share why I’m going to be Closing up!

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple Mel and Andy who had a absolutely beautiful wedding day on Saturday at the stunning Mount Batten Tower followed by a intimate wedding breakfast with the closest family and friends.

It was a beautiful day…… I was even able to enjoy this day as a guest 💕

1st Wedding post COVID-19 lockdown

After many attempts of trying to get Married since 2020, multiple venue closures and lost deposits this lovely couple Conor and Laura finally got to get married with a small intimate outside wedding breakfast held at St Anne's House where the day was planned and coordinated by me, this venue offered the perfect setting and their day really was stunning... Great guests emotional speeches beautiful cake to cut and a first dance all in the outdoor area with marquee roof in the pool area...

Blush Pinks and Gold table decorations was required..... no fuss just simple gold crackle vases with faux flowers in bridal colours and a sprinkle of creams and pinks pampas grass sat on a large wooden Log stand sprinkled with personalized wooden table confetti. Our blush pink lace chair sashes complimented the venue chivalry chairs, their personal table plans created on our white step ladder decorated with faux flowers and a pretty wooden wishing well for their guests to pop their cards into supplied by us!

Amazing food created from the fabulous team Le Frog all served in the outside area and as always it was great to be back working alongside Andrew himself from Younger Photography

Wedding breakfast was served and eaten in the outside marquee area which we set up separately and glasses raised outside 🥂

Here’s just a few sneaky pictures taken by me..... looking forward to seeing the official images when ready.... tables set up in the house for show purposes and covid restrictions for 15 guests adhered too in the outside marquee

It finally happened yesterday! Dusted off my wedding cameras for the 1st time in 2021 to cover Laura & Conor's wedding. Married at St Emanuels church followed by an intimate reception at St Anne's House overlooking the Easterly winds battering the breakwater and Jennycliff bay ,St Anne's house is a wonderful new wedding venue in Plymouth. In Total it took 5 wedding dates and three wedding venues to finally tie the knot. St Annes is the perfect venue for intimate weddings. We even took a short trip down to Mountbatten pier for a few evening sunset images. I want to thank Laura and Conor so much for sticking with us through this tough year. Like so many of our clients they kept coming back to us with fingers crossed in the hope we would be available for their new date. Two of their wedding venues sadly went bankrupt causing them untold stress. As the winds held back for a few minutes we managed to get outside for the last rays of sunlight to end a wonderful day. It's so good to be back.
