My New Year’s resolution was to do 10 piano gigs in 2026… today I completed my goal and we’re not even halfway through the year! 🥳

Some have definitely gone better than others and it’s been hugely challenging but really rewarding. Today’s session at Bethany House was so much fun! I hope I’ll be invited back because I loved the atmosphere 💖

Let’s make it more of a challenge and raise the goalpost to 30 this year! So that’s just under 7 months to do 20 more piano sessions 😳it’s amazing what a few months of getting out of your comfort zone can do - this would have been unthinkable in January!

Things to be proud of from the singalong session at Porte Rouge on Tuesday:

🎶 Hearing residents singing along to their favourite tunes

🎶 One lady saying “ooh I like this one” several times when I announced the songs

🎶 Another lady requesting Dancing Queen by ABBA, then afterwards telling me the song reminds her of her late husband who “was always the first one on the dance floor” ❤️

🎶Finding my way back to the music when I got a bit lost and made mistakes!

🎶 Quite a few residents stopping me on the way out to tell me they really enjoyed the session 🥹

🎶 The fact that I showed up and keep putting myself out there, inner critic be damned
