This is just a quick note to say that we will not be running WAHF in 2026 but look forward to seeing you again in the future!
After a challenging year for each of us on a personal level, it is important that we look after one another an prioritise our health. Each of us have our own personal circumstances and goals we would like to achieve, so a break at this time is required and important.

HOWEVER, what a 3 years it’s been!!! Thank to everyone for your love and support in making We Are Here Festival such a success.

We are proud to have been part of the support for LGBTQIA safe spaces, whilst combatting the gender inequality that is felt throughout the music scene and we couldn’t have done this without the community.

Ah we've been reminiscing about the love, warmth, loud and unapologetic authenticity you lovely lot and our performers showed at We Are Here Festival 2025.

With that we couldn't go without mentioning the gritty powerful vocals and intense riffage of Tiger Empress, so we are awarding them the Face Melting Riff award. They had the crowd bouncing in circles with their room shaking sound. We love this bunch!

𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘮 - 𝐍𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 with their incredible electro-pop create insanely technical but accessible tracks that have little hooks that just won’t leave your psyche. 3 piece with impeccable precision for timing , looping and unusual sound are like a warm bath for your ears - they’re all super funny too which makes them all the more worth seeking out to see live

Leadworks in Stonehouse played host to We Are Here 2025, a one-day music festival that showcased bands predominantly made up of women and underrepresented genders. So, who better to document the event in words than me; a straight, white, middle-class man approaching middle age?

From the Cornish epicentre of art and creativity, The Dollies might as well have been founded at Evergreen University - through tracks such as P**o Express and Tear Our Eyes The Dollies have an ability to make you laugh AND think, all whilst wanting to connect with others and start a riot. Pure ‘artivism’ and we love it!!

They might be new but my god did they bring the energy! 😱 Plymouth supergroup fronted by the impeccable talent that is Lea May create sounds that take the listener straight into 90s Seattle, LA and Olympia all at once. Bouncy beats and gritty guitars they had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands

From the moment they stepped onto the stage, they did not stop - it was mesmerising, you couldn’t take your eyes away!
The energy was palpable and rippled through the crowd - we thought for sure we were going through the ceiling at one point!
Not only was their performance energetic but the enthusiasm didn’t waiver throughout the day - they also watched and supoorted all of the other performers ❤️

One to watch a keep and eye on them on Spotify!

Our headliner, and boy they didn’t disappoint! Just when you think you’re done, your body is wrecked from a full day of live music, this bunch come on stage and tear you a new one! 😱

What a bloody riot! The lyrical genius of Seizure Salad was a wonder to behold! Such important messages but delivered in a humorous and fun way.
As with everyone it was a dream to have you with us, you were seamless, lively and lovely 🥰

Another award post 🥁

𝘛𝘰𝘱 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳 to the insanely talented 𝐉𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠! 🤩
The energy was so high, the songwriting impeccable and Heidi seamlessly played a borrowed, right handed, bass after some difficulties with their own left handed bass.
Not only amazing performers with their own stage presence but also lovely and approachable - taking time speaking to people and soaking in what WAHF is all about ❤️
It was an absolute pleasure!

WAHF 2025 was incredible! What an amazing bunch of artists 🥰
Everyone was so friendly and supportive, and the calibre of music and performance was insanely high!
We are feeling incredibly blessed to have been able to work with these incredibly talented musicians.

With that said, we are going to spotlight our bands with some ‘WAHF Awards’, so keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks!

Starting with our 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘶𝘵 band which has to be 𝐎𝐡, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭.
Not only are they three of the loveliest human beings, but their range of music and level of songwriting can have you jumping about one moment to welling up the next.
Clouds House and The Path were amongst our favourites and at different ends of the spectrum in terms of vibe.

What a beautiful experience, thank you so much for sharing the day with us!
