Totally beyond wearing but so gorgeous 😍😍😍 this is such lovely printed wool it deserves a new life- appliqué, patches, journaling inspiration, framing … I have used such fragile fabric in the past as wallpaper in alcoves … can’t decide. 🤓Must stop buying rags! .

🧵THREADS THROUGH TIME: A JOURNEY THROUGH CLOTHING🪡

🪡 TUESDAY 27TH MAY - TUESDAY 15TH JULY🧵

More than just a display of beautiful garments, this exhibition weaves together the stories of the people who lived and worked within the abbey's walls, from its monastic origins to its transformation into a private home. Each garment has been created over the years by our talented costume group only using authentic materials and techniques.

For more information about techniques and methods used by the costume group, you can purchase the costume group's handbook from the shop or in the exhibition.

The exhibition is free, normal admissions apply.
