Mary Newman was the first wife of the legendary Sir Francis Drake. This beautiful, whitewashed cottage dates back to the 14th century and stands beside the River Tavy in Tavistock — steeped in over 600 years of history, secrets, and stories. It is said Mary lived here while Drake was away at sea, waiting faithfully for his return.

👻 EVER WONDER WHY YOU KEEP HEARING MY NAME CALLED AT EVENTS?👻

Something fascinating keeps happening on our investigations — time and time again, various paranormal devices keep calling out my name.

Is it spirits making a direct connection? A way of acknowledging who I am and that I’m here? Or is there something deeper at play — a sign that they know exactly who I am and want to communicate directly with me?

Some believe that when a spirit calls your name repeatedly, it means they are reaching out personally — they know you, they’re addressing you, and they have your attention. It could be a sign of intelligent communication, or even a connection that follows you rather than staying in one place.

🔍 On the other side: Our brains are wired to find familiar patterns in noise — especially our own names. We notice it when it happens, and remember it clearly, while missing all the times it doesn’t. Plus, spirit boxes sweep through radio frequencies — so fragments of real voices can and do appear by pure chance.
