As the spring flowers fade away, the early summer blooms are waiting in the curtains. In the vegetable growing world, they call this the "hungry gap" – it's not that there aren't flowers now, it's just that the abundance hasn't quite kicked in yet. It's a time brimming with energy and potential and it's so exciting!

This week's tasks include clearing and replanting the polytunnel, making new beds for late summer annuals, preparing the beds for planting out the dahlias, and caring for the greenhouse plants.
