One of the most important aspects of your marquee is the flooring.
There are a range of options, from coir matting to a wooden floor to carpet; your choice will impact the aesthetics and practicalities of your celebration.
The style of marquee that you choose will impact your flooring options so always speak to your marquee provider.
A carpeted marquee will need a solid wood floor underneath. They look sleek and elegant, and come in a variety of colours. You will need to make sure that the carpet remains clean until your guests arrive!
A wooden floor gives you a solid surface for your tables and chairs, as well as preventing trips for guests. It creates an elevated look within your marquee, without the same risks of spillages/dirt as on a carpet.
Coir matting is typically laid directly on to the ground, creating a rustic look. The matting doesn’t have a solid backing, so it can mean that guests feel the lumps and bumps of the ground beneath them.
