An update on The Country Blush:

I’m taking a little social media break after a busy season. I need to focus my energy on my client work for 2027 celebrations without neglecting my family, and me!

I will still be popping up on my stories sporadically, but apart from anything that has already been scheduled, I won’t be posting regularly on my feed.

I’ve made this decision as I need to prioritise what I am spending my time on; you can’t keep juggling everything without burning out and I want to make sure that my family and clients are getting the very best of me.

If you’re looking for help with your 2027 or 2028 celebration, I will be taking on a limited number of clients until the new year.

I love Autumn, I love the colours, the crisp fresh mornings and the dappled sunlight.

It’s also a time to pause and reflect on the wedding season; focussing on making changes to my business behind the scenes and working out my next steps to move forward into the following season.

I can’t wait to curl up in an armchair, sipping on a chai latte and reflecting on how to take The Country Blush even further next year.

When hosting a marquee celebration at home, you have the flexibility of choosing when to end your celebration.

Ensure you understand any additional costs of choosing to extend the evening, before the wedding day.

Find out from your bar team if they’re able to stay later, at what cost? How is this settled?

Check with your musicians what the fee is for playing later? Is this per person, or per act?

Make sure that you have a designated person, who takes the responsibility of approving any late-night extensions – preferably the person who will be settling the invoice for any additional hours!

The end of the evening and the clear down after your celebration, is equally as important as the set-up.

Ensure that you know when suppliers are coming to collect or de-rig – making sure that flowers, furniture and production are removed before your structure needs to be taken down.

On the evening, find out what needs to be placed inside your home, back in the chiller or put somewhere specific.

If you don’t have a planner, make sure someone knows what needs to happen and when.

Whether you’re planning a wedding at your private home or at a country manor; including family items always makes your day unique.

Make sure that you find everything in advance and check that it works. If need be, do a test run before the day – this will eliminate any last-minute issues during set up.
