The best parties always come back to the food.

At Green Fig we've catered all sorts of parties across East Sussex, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, retirement do's, hen parties, you name it. Cupcakes are always a favourite on the table, and there's usually a bit of a scramble for the last one. But it's never just about the sweet stuff, we'll put together whatever style suits your do, a relaxed buffet, a sit-down meal, a BBQ, or something in between. We'll help pull the rest of the day together too if required, tables laid, flowers out, bunting strung up, everything ready and waiting before your first guest's even taken their coat off.

Fancy a table full of tapas without leaving the house?

Order our tapas delivery and this is what turns up. Thinly sliced prosciutto, salami and chorizo, wedges of manchego style cheese, bowls of olives, and roasted peppers, courgette and aubergine, all set out ready to pick at. Alongside that, a Spanish style rice dish loaded with king prawns and fresh parsley, the sort of plate that gets everyone leaning in for a bite off someone else's fork. Small plates built for picking, sharing and chatting rather than a formal three courses.

Order it for a birthday, a family get-together, an upmarket hen or stag night, or just because you fancy it on a random weeknight. Everything's cooked fresh at our Pevensey kitchen and delivered to your door if you're near us, or you can pop down and collect if that works better for you.

Cream first or jam first? We know what we do!

Finger sandwiches, sausage rolls warm from the oven, and scones piled with jam and clotted cream. That's our afternoon tea at Green Fig, and it's the sort of spread that gets everyone talking at once and fighting over the last one.

We can deliver in bulk if you are catering for a Birthday, christening, retirement do, baby shower, or just a catch up that needed a good excuse, it works a treat for all of it.

Fancy it delivered so you can lay it out yourself? Easy. Want our team there serving with proper china, tea and coffee poured, all the trimmings? We can do that too, just a few numbers to check first for the staffed version, but the delivery menu suits smaller gatherings just as well.

Wedding evening food, the next bit everyone always looks forward to.

This is a taste of our evening food offering, a mix of soft and hard cheeses, fresh figs and grapes, and thinly sliced cured meats, set out for guests to help themselves once the dancing's in full swing. We do cheese boards and platters for sharing, including cured continental meats and salami, or a hand carved honey glazed ham, alongside hot options like paella pots, curry and rice, and homemade sausage rolls, whatever suits the mood of your evening.

Got a big event on the calendar that needs feeding?

Green Fig has been doing exactly that across East Sussex for years. These photos show a slice of what we bring along. Hand-held burgers with fresh lettuce and tomato that vanish within minutes. Roasted fig in pancetta with goats cheese, served with rocket and a fruit compote. Roasted carrot and cashew pate on crackers, with a few micro herbs on top. Different bites, different moods, depending on how the event's running.

We've catered VIP hospitality at The Heathfield Show and Airbourne air show for many years, and we've been part of the Lunch at the Saffrons fundraiser for St Wilfrid's Hospice too, an event that's raised over £40,000 for the charity in a single sitting. Big events take a lot of planning behind the scenes, and that's exactly what goes into every one we take on, big or small.

We cater for many celebrations of life...

The kettle goes on, the sandwiches come out, and everyone gets a minute to just sit with each other and reminisce about their loved one.

That's what we're there for. These sausage rolls, flaky pastry finished with sesame seeds, are one of the most popular bakes on our funeral menu, simple and comforting, exactly the sort of thing people want on a day like this. We've catered wakes across East Sussex for many years now, at homes, village halls and function rooms, and we know exactly what the day needs. A team that gets in, sets everything out, and gets out of the way.

Pick a delivery only service, everything arriving on recyclable trays with clear lids ready to uncover whenever suits. Or choose a full waitress service with china platters, crockery, tea, coffee and napkins (minimum numbers apply for the staffed option). There's no bad mood a good sausage off the BBQ can't fix.

We cook everything on site, so it goes straight from the coals to your plate. Fancy guests serving themselves at the grill, or would you rather everyone stayed seated while we bring it round on platters? Either works. Pick two mains from sausages, burgers, sticky BBQ pork belly, minted lamb kebabs, chicken skewers or a salmon fillet with salsa verde, then choose three salads and a proper pudding to finish. Home-made bread and condiments come as standard, and anyone with a dietary need gets their own plate sorted, not a sad side salad.

We're a family-run team based in Pevensey and we've been doing summer BBQs for well over a decade, everything from garden parties and weddings to office days out and milestone birthdays. We also cater the Heathfield Agricultural Show every year, so big outdoor jobs are nothing new to us.

Chickpea, feta and tomato rolls with a scattering of poppy seeds, croquettes and olives close by, canapés going round before anyone's even said "I do."

That's the spread in the photos above, and it's exactly the kind of thing we love sending round while everyone's still finding their seats. Vegetarian canapés get the same care as everything else, not tacked on as an afterthought.

We're a family run team based in Pevensey, near Eastbourne, and we cook and serve every wedding ourselves, never handing any of it to an outside team. We only ever take on one wedding at a time, which means yours gets our full attention from the first phone call to the last dance.
