A sample bouquet for a May wedding.
It is so hard to make a sample bouquet and not one I usually encourage. as often the joy of a bouquet is the seasonal elements that sneak in, the little random sprigs of last minute lavender or mint, a gathering of the season, however, as my story explained this was for a bride who’s future husband was making her bouquet, so an idea of the size, shape and form were important. The hand grown sweet peas and orlaya can be added in May!

Happy St David’s Day. Celebrating all things Welsh with the bonus of an opportunity it celebrate their National flower the wonderful daffodil.
One of the first flowers of the year to arrive, with over 3,000 varieties it is not just the traditional yellow trumpets of spring that fill our homes with long lasting scent and beauty.
Over on my story I have collected a few photos taken over the last three springs celebrating this joyous flower.

And it’s a wrap for this Valentines. A HUGE thank you to all those romantic men out there who supported a small (very small!) local business rather than using a huge National company of grabbing a bunch of cheap roses from the supermarket. It means so much to me and hopefully as I get to know my customers I know their likes and dislikes and can tailor each bouquet to its recipient. Not something a huge company can do.
Thanks again guys. Now this florist is going to open some wine and be cooked supper. Lucky me!!

A tiny coffin spray for a service yesterday where the gentleman had been cremated and the service was afterwards, like my mother. It calls for a special flowers as the casket is only tiny and therefore need to be delicate and pretty. It included snowdrops, hellebore’s and roses, I tied it with a light taupe velvet ribbon.
