When the sky has been this blue and the trees are taking on their autumn colour and you can just spot two topiary birds peeping over the hedge.

A catching up with jobs sort of week. First bench repairs, now here’s Neil making a start on glass repairs to the greenhouse by assessing new panes required before measuring up.

Definitely an out of season job.

Some very serious first aid required on this bench. So who are we going to call?
Meadow Joinery who collected the one in pieces and returned another from repair today.

Thanks to Tim and the team.

The return of low morning mists. One of our favourite photos.

Anemones. Once they put their roots down, they just keep flowering and flowering.

Do you feel like the nights are suddenly drawing in? It was the autumn equinox yesterday so thoughts are definitely turning towards shorter days and darker nights.

The fireplace in the Lower Octagon Room is definitely handsome enough for a fireside seat, looking out onto the leaves falling in the garden.

Every bride needs Alice's equivalent of the "Blue Crew" who were by her side as she married Toby on Saturday. Toby had his best man, MC and gang of ushers and, along with their families and friends, everyone was literally cheering them on as they started their married life together.

What an honour to play a small part in their day. The best pictures will have been captured by Ellen, Georgi, Ryan and Sarah, their video and photography team, as well the bar company, Mix & Twist. Look out for that!
