Purple and orange. At first glance it shouldn’t work. But somehow it really does.

So we pushed it a little further.

Lilac sweet peas.
Actual oranges.
All the juicy, citrusy goodness.

Florals styled with fruit is something we’re seeing more and more of lately, which feels very natural to us. We take a lot of inspiration from food, especially colour pairings that already exist in nature. The same way beautifully composed dishes feel balanced on a plate, those combinations often translate effortlessly into floral design.

Unexpected combinations are often the most interesting. What pairing would you never expect to work… but secretly love?

R & C’s wedding - a study in white 🤍

When couples tell me they’re drawn to white florals, the first thing we talk about isn’t colour. It’s shape, movement and contrast. Because when everything sits within one palette, the design becomes about the details. The way stems move, the balance between delicate and sculptural, the space that allows each element to breathe.
That’s when white has its moment.

For R & C we leaned into dramatic textures and unexpected details, like the pearls on the anthurium in the bridal bouquet. The result… considered, modern, expressive florals that shaped the entire day.

We can’t get enough of sweet peas (obviously) and the way their curves shape a moment. Lilac on one side, pale pink on the other, designed into a pile that’s soft, frilly and full of attitude. A few stems extend to create shape, movement and a subtle sense of drama.

Breaking the rules of perfection but landing exactly where it should, modern and structured yet completely effortless - the kind of floral art you want to come back to again and again.

Lots of new faces here, so I wanted to reintroduce myself. I’m Liv, founder and lead floral designer at Sweet Pea Sorbet.

I’m pocket sized and live in a house full of boys - my husband, our mini sausage dog and our one year old (parents… seriously, where does the time go?!), keeping life full of energy. I love food, a great tasting menu is my idea of heaven and I’m always on the hunt for unexpected spots worth discovering. A cup of Yorkshire biscuit tea or a generous glass of a good red keep me grounded. Living in Sydney for a few years also turned me into a complete coffee snob… a blessing and a curse! I started this floral adventure to pursue my creative side after nearly a decade in corporate life and I haven’t looked back since.

Every design I create is inspired by colour, texture and carefully considered palettes. Modern, artful and completely bespoke, each piece is thoughtfully crafted to elevate a space and reflect your style. I love creating florals that feel like living works of art - the kind that stop people in their tracks and make them lean in for a sniff to check they’re real! Those moments, when someone says they’ve never seen anything like it before are what I live for. It is the biggest privilege and I am always so honoured to play such a special role in people’s celebrations and meaningful moments.

A & T ❤️‍🔥 Married at the iconic Hackney Town Hall on a seriously epic day. Hot summer energy, pinks everywhere, pops of bright orange and a room full of the most gorgeous people… loud, electric and bringing THE VIBE.

Pure joy. Pure love. A full on scorcher of a ceremony and we loved every second of it 🩷🧡
