Last week saw us involved in a range of water-related activities as the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition took place at the SEC in Glasgow.

Having worked with the UK Pavilion team over the past year, we were delighted to see all the hard work come to life. A busy programme of TED-style talks, interactive games and bespoke information totems brought key areas of the water industry and its infrastructure into focus, creating opportunities to learn, connect and share ideas.

Catalyst also supported The Operations Challenge, a flagship experience led by Skewb and Capgemini, showcasing the operational skills needed today and in the future.

Alongside the Congress, we joined Scottish Water and the world’s strongest brothers, Luke and Tom Stoltman! 💪

Supporting Scottish Water’s ‘Water is Always Worth Saving’ campaign, we helped create public engagement activities and designed and built a bespoke lifting frame holding 180kg of water. That’s the weight of 180 litres, the average amount each person in Scotland uses every day.

A brilliant week of collaboration, creativity and hands-on experiences. Thank you to all the teams who trusted us to help bring their ideas to life!

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes to keep our kit working at its best?

It’s not just about fixing things when they go wrong.

Our Asset & Bench Technicians carry out routine checks, preventative maintenance, testing and fault-finding to make sure our equipment stays reliable and ready to perform.

And when something does need attention, it doesn’t just get written off and replaced…

It gets stripped down, investigated, repaired and brought back to life by a team with the skill and knowledge to understand what makes our equipment tick.

A lot goes on behind the scenes to keep our kit performing at its best.

From the initial concept to the finished piece, our design and joinery teams worked closely together in-house to create this bespoke standing vanity mirror.

From the CNC-cut frame and custom-cut mirrors to the integrated LED bulbs and handmade vanity, every detail has been carefully considered, crafted and brought together in-house.

Here are a few behind-the-scenes shots of our joiners bringing the design to life.

There’s something pretty satisfying about seeing a drawing evolve into something tangible - and seeing the finished piece come together.

We recently delivered a project at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for our clients at , creating an immersive Scottish journey for guests attending , the leading international education conference.

Guests were invited to explore different areas of Scotland, collecting stamps as they travelled through the experience and discovered each destination.

Our concept brought the country to life through a combination of bespoke graphics and environmental branding, creating a series of distinct spaces that worked seamlessly with the existing set design to form a cohesive and engaging guest experience.

A fantastic project to be involved in, and a great example of how thoughtful design and creative production can shape the way guests navigate and experience a space.

As festival season comes to a close, we’re shining a light on our Warehouse Operatives.

Throughout the summer, our warehouse team have worked tirelessly behind the scenes - loading, unloading, organising, and keeping everything moving to ensure the kit gets where it needs to be.

From the first load-in to the final pack-down, there’s a huge amount of work that goes into making every event happen, and we couldn’t do it without them.

A huge thank you to the whole warehouse team for your hard work, long days, and commitment throughout another busy festival season.

We were delighted to welcome the 48th Fife Cubs to our headquarters on Friday!

The group enjoyed a tour of the site and got hands-on with some of our event equipment, getting a behind the scenes look at what goes into bringing events to life.
