It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Alexander Dye Angus, who left us peacefully on the 18th August 2026, at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with dementia. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Angus and his only son, Alex Angus.
Alex was a family man through and through and will be sadly missed by his daughters, Avril, and Elizabeth as well as his many adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service to take place at Comrie Parish Church, 22 Burrell Street, PH6 2JP on Tuesday 15th September at 11.00am, interment thereafter in Comrie Cemetery, Strowan Road, PH6 2HF at 12 noon and a celebration of life at the Royal Hotel, Comrie after, to which all family and friends are welcome. No flowers please, Alex was an avid gardener and firmly believed that flowers belong in the earth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Scotland.

Much loved brother of Kenneth and Douglas, brother-in-law of Gladys and Janice, cherished uncle, and good friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral on Wednesday 16th September service in Perth Crematorium at 12.00pm to which all are welcome.

It is with deep sadness to announce that after many years of ill health the passing of Doris Clark, who passed suddenly at home on the 14th August 2026. Loving daughter of the late John and Catherine Hoolichan, sister to Anne and sister-in-law to Mike, beloved mother to Donna and the late John, mother-in-law to Billy and Claire, gran to Chloe, Ben, Ross and Mason, a dear aunt to Sean, cousin, and friend to many. It was Doris's wish for a private cremation but Donna and family would like to invite all friends and family for a tea to remember Doris. Place and time will be confirmed soon.

Peacefully passed away in the care of staff at Perth Royal Infirmary with his family by his side, on Sunday 9th August 2026, John Smith McGarvie aged 84 years. Much loved dad of John, David, Paul, Colin and Annette , loving grandpa , great-grandpa and great-great grandpa and good friend to many. A service to celebrate John’s life will take place in McDiarmid Park, Centenary Suite on Monday 24th August at 2.00pm followed by a service of committal in Springbank Cemetery, Aberdeen, AB15 7YH on Tuesday 25th August at 1.30pm to which all are welcome. Thanks to all of the incredible NHS staff from PRI's Ward 4 to Tay Ward and several in between, and from Kings Practice. Everyone took such good care of dad over the last few years and the wonderful staff at Dewar Court for looking our for him.
