One in a while when we spit roast for an occasion where the guests are off doing other exciting things before the meal there is a moment when everything is ready - but where are the guests?!!
I should have taken another photo when they all rushed in but I was too busy carving and cutting crackling.
Thank you lovely Gatchell family for having us to do the spit roast for you alongside Bonnie Mountain Catering atComrie Croft. We really enjoyed meeting you all.

Slightly off piste on Saturday roasting a two hour drive away at Rottal Steading in Glen Clova. It was our first visit there and I hope it won't be our last as it is a lovely, spacious venue and Glen Clova is breathtakingly beautiful.
The guests were hungry which is always pleasing for us and many returned several times until all the crackling was gone. Perfect!

Lovely day spit roasting at Firbush Outdoor Centre on Loch Tay. While everyone rushed off to take part in water sports we were left peacefully roasting in the cabin, admiring the view. I even had time to spend studying the script of 'Allo 'Allo which I am directing for Comrie Fortnight, play dates 30, 31 July 1 August. Keep an eye out for the link to tickets in the next few days as they will go quickly.

Lovely day at Fingask Castle, spit roasting a piggy for an after wedding lunch. Such a beautiful day, dragons sparkling in the sunshine. Everyone was very hungry and nearly all the roast was eaten, including all the crackling which was lovely and crispy. So satisfying for us to see the piggy being enjoyed. Very best wishes to Andrew and Imogen for a lovely life on their farm.

We haven't spit roasted Cardney Steading Events near Dunkeld, for a while so it was lovely to be back. It is looking fabulous. Every time we have been they have done something new to make it even more special. It is such a brilliant wedding venue. We roasted in the Mill Room.

Another gorgeous day and we are spit roasting for an après wedding lunch party. Lots of people we know and haven't seen for ages so extra fun. Too nice to be inside so we watched the piggy roasting from a sunny spot outside!

Hope you all have Sunday 23 March in your diaries for the Fingask Wedding Fair 11.30am-3.30pm at Fingask Castle. We will be there with our scrumptious spit roast piggy with lots of crispy crackling. We are really looking forward to seeing you all. Come and sample it.

Happy day at Comrie Croft's Wee Nosy. Lovely to meet so many engaged couples planning their weddings. So exciting. Piggy roasted up a treat with lots of crispy crackling for all. Thank you for inviting us Comrie Croft.
