Looking forward to tomorrow (Sunday), when Comrie Croft is holding a wedding open day from 2-5pm. We will be there with all the other suppliers. It's going to be a great day. Come and sample our spit roast piggy.

Sunday in the sunshine roasting a piggy for an après wedding lunch party. Lots of lovely, glamorous young guests arrived bang on time and very hungry which was great as the crackling was still sizzling and crispy. We love it when they have third and fourth helpings and the piggy is all eaten up. Thank you so much Emily and Kenneth for having us to do the roast. We really enjoyed meeting your family.

What a wonderful wedding for Jenna and Tommy at at Comrie Croft on Saturday! Firstly, a summer's day arrived in the middle of October! The guests could relax with drinks in the sunny courtyard.
Meanwhile, in the barn, we were roasting a pig AND a lamb! The barn was ready, the roasts were lifted up ready for carving and in came the hungry guests. What a party! Thank you so much Jenna and Tommy for making us part of it. We enjoyed every moment. Very best wishes for your life together.

Roasting a lamb for the funeral of a much loved lady today. Lucky us to be outside in the sunshine after all this rain, but then she probably arranged a lovely day for this event.

Saturday-Early start - deliver free range eggs to Hansen's Kitchen in Comrie, drive to Pitlochry to do a spit roast for a Golden Wedding Anniversary party in a lovely garden and oh joy, who should arrive but my absolutely favourite jazz band, Ritz Trio - hurray! Great party, super guests who ate up all the piggy, especially the crackling and to top it all, Freeland Barber played two of his own beautiful melodies, one a reel, on the accordion for us. Such a good day.

Busy weekend - Friday evening roasting for a great pre wedding party at Comrie Croft, while in the main barn chairs and tables were being set up in readiness for Saturday's wedding. Then the party began and the courtyard was all lit up, and in addition to our scrumptious spit roast piggy there was yummy pizza from Well Fired Pizza. Thank you so much for having us, Peter and Racheal. Best wishes for the wedding on Saturday.

One in a while when we spit roast for an occasion where the guests are off doing other exciting things before the meal there is a moment when everything is ready - but where are the guests?!!
I should have taken another photo when they all rushed in but I was too busy carving and cutting crackling.
Thank you lovely Gatchell family for having us to do the spit roast for you alongside Bonnie Mountain Catering atComrie Croft. We really enjoyed meeting you all.
