Petals from St.Martin’s for an islander getting married on the mainland earlier this year. I tend to supply fresh petals for couples who get married on the islands, but dried confetti can be a great way to add a little bit of Scilly to a celebration elsewhere.

This time last week the first of my 2026 couples had just tied the knot. The bride’s bouquet was sniff checked by little Amber whilst I was photographing it. The last of the island narcissi combined with scented stocks amongst other garden flowers seemed to pass the test!

🧡🤍🩵 Happy Easter 🩵🤍🧡 My first holiday let flowers went out a few days ago, as the season begins on St.Martin’s, and they were beautiful bunches of spring flowers 🧡🤍🩵 I love the way these little arrangements change as the season goes on with flower varieties giving way to each other when flowering spells begin and end 🩵🤍🧡

A chance to wander the abbey gardens in brilliant sunshine after delivering a spring wreath making workshop on earlier this week. Some very welcome vitamin D in a beautiful setting.

Last weekend was not crazy busy for me as you might expect it to have been. I’ve worked Valentine’s Day in a flower shop on the mainland years ago and the buzz was amazing but exhausting. Due to my location and preferred use of seasonal flowers it’s not like that now. But when I do make Valentines bouquets they look like this. British and island grown flowers with lots of seasonal warmth and texture.

January went by in a flurry of stormy days, heavy downpours and sunshine rows. We even got some frost (which is fairly unusual here). Changeable was definitely the word.

This wreath was a gift I made for a friend before Christmas. A winter moment using fragile remnants of the summer that will last and hopefully bring a bit of lightness.

A bit of colour for a stormy January day. This morning I went and cut all the flowers in the garden before the storm was able to steal them away. Now we’re hunkered down hiding from the weather. Time for some flower faffing. I don’t care if flat lays aren’t in fashion any more. I like them.
