Fairytale Wedding Stationery

Feeling very reflective as today marks 9 years since I decided to take a leap and turn my hobby into a full time business and step into the wonderful world of Weddings.
Fairytale Wedding Stationery is 9 years old today, and I have had the pleasure over that time of working with some lovely couples and their families who have put their trust in me to make their entire wedding stationery.
So many special moments and memories including bringing my sparkly wedding world and a charity that is so close to my heart together working on a fabulous collaborative glittering gala evening.
The Cornish wedding world is a very talented group of individuals who truly do make individuals dreams come true no matter what and it's been so wonderful to work alongside such lovely people.
In that 9 years there has been some milestones such as the building of my beautiful work office studio in 2019 and some very special moments:-

The last two and a half years for myself and the wedding industry has been some heartbreaking times and some extremely stormy seas and at many times it has felt that there has been no life raft there for you.
Of course until last year on my FWS journey I had my wonderful fur baby PA Charlie by my side and he was ingrained into everything that my business was.
I have to admit that since Charlie's sudden and tragic passing in the Summer of 2021, life at FWS has seemed very different without him as well as lots of personal life challenges and yes I have lost my sparkle hence why I have been very quiet on social media.
However it seemed a good time to reflect on 9 years and lots of special moments and memories which I feel very blessed to have had.

“Sneak Peak”

Everything at FWS is designed just for you.....
That involves starting the design from scratch,chatting through ideas; mood boards/Pinterest boards and scrapbooks summing up what your dream stationery is to be for your special event.
That also involves swatches, lots of swatches...
whether that is for your base card for your invitation, do you want to add a touch of sparkle with some sumptuous glitter card and paper? Do you want texture?
I love opening the swatch cards to the satin ribbons, so many colours to match or compliment your chosen colours of the day.
What type of embellishment?
Diamantè, pearl, a dior ribbon, flowers, even a wax personalised seal?
The list is endless, and it is all top secret between me and the couple until the day your guests get to open a beautiful envelope revealing the invitation.

So here is a little sneak peak into just a fraction of some of the swatches that are here waiting to create your beautiful stationery.

"Favourite"

Day Five of asking the prompt what is a favourite within our businesses. Is there a favourite make? favourite design? Is there a favourite for couples?
💌
This is such a hard question as for me my favourite is so many, as its the fact that everything in unique and bespoke and tailor made to the couple in question.
This means that each invitation has its own story.
It could be based on the colour scheme for the day, the coastal venue destination.
Over the years I have had the pleasure to work on so many invitations and each of them has a place in my heart for very different reasons.
❤️ I love a lasercut style as it is always so elegant no matter what the colour scheme.
❤️ I love a pocketfold invitation for the way it encases all that information
❤️Rustic styles always look so beautiful
❤️Wallet styles can be anything you wish them to be.

So my list is endless, lots of favourites all with their own story to tell, and I cannot wait to make more of your stories.

Day Three of and it’s all about how you do your planning…..

I have to confess and put my hand up ✋🏻and say that my names Jayne and I am a complete stationery addict.
As much as I love technology and rely on my phone, laptop, iMac for simply everything that I do always prefer and go back to the paper version for my diary, notes and all things planning.
I like to be organised and get the dates in the diary to know how I need to plan.

I love pretty notebooks and pads, turning the pages of my diary, making my to do lists and highlighting with pretty pastel highlighters.
I never have just the one year diary open as weddings are sometimes planned up to two or even three years in advance.

No matter what planning is the key here at FWS, and I never need an excuse to get some pretty stationery to help me.

Day Two of and todays prompt is asking all about the beliefs and values of our small businesses.

So what are the beliefs and values here at Fairytale Wedding Stationery…..

For me simply it is the tag line which sums up our brand
“putting the sparkle into your special day”
Sparkle doesn’t have to be physical; your event stationery does not have to be so glittery you can see it from outer space.
The sparkle in your special day is the value that all the stationery is unique, handmade and it is always about YOU.
It is your event; your day and you must have your dreams come true.
It is about setting the tone for your special day, many people keep their invitations from any event as memory keepsakes so make that memories special and memories that last forever.

Every day for the month of March there is a new challenge with prompts for me to tell you about different aspects of my business. I know I am over here on Facebook but Ive been absent for so long I thought it was good to show my face.

Day One:- “You and Your Work”

Hello I’m Jayne and I create wedding and event stationery. ( I am on the left of the photo and my Mum on the right)

I have always had an interest and love of all things craft since a little girl, a love that I have shared with my Mum and my Godmother. I was taught how to cut out images on Christmas and birthday cards by my Nan.

The scissors she gave me, I still use for most of my work,which are so very special.

I could always be found making cards for family and close friends to celebrate and commemorate special celebrations and life milestones.

But it was in October 2013, I decided that I wanted to make my hobby and passion my work.

I love all things sparkly and girly, and I know a lot of people dream of having a fairytale happily ever after ending, so Fairytale Wedding Stationery was born.

All my work is unique and handcrafted just by me, no mass production lines, just lovingly handcrafted and bespoke for your special event.
I have had the true privilege of having spent nine years in the Cornish Wedding Industry and to have been involved in such wonderful events and special days.

In that time I am very proud that FWS has been nominated in regional wedding awards and found myself the Winner in the Simply Wedding Awards in 2016 and 2021 as well as a Finalist in all consecutive years and in 2019 was honoured to be a Finalist in the South West Wedding Awards.

I am a proud Cornish maid, born and bred and am blessed to live in one of the most beautiful parts of West Cornwall, close to the land that is “Poldark country.”

Hello March, always feel so glad and thankful to see the signs of spring.
I have been absent for so long from social media, with the loss of my beautiful boy & PA; Charlie, FWS felt a very different place and one I struggled with as well as horrifying world events where it never seemed the right time to post about the sparkly world of FWS.
I’m looking forward later today to begin the challenge for the month of March and hopefully step back into the world of sparkle.
