Freemasons in Durham are proud to have funded a new 24/7 Rapid Response Vehicle for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Durham Mark Master Masons, together with the Mark Benevolent Fund and Durham Freemasons Charity, presented £63,326 to fund the fully equipped Land Rover Discovery, along with a further £10,000 towards operational costs, during a recent visit to the Service’s headquarters at Urlay Nook, near Stockton-on-Tees.

The vehicle will operate 24 hours a day, supporting critical care teams across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. As a charity funded by public donations, GNAAS relies on support like this to continue saving lives.

As David Hanson, Head of Durham Mark Master Masons, said:
“It’s not about just making a donation, it’s about making a difference. If we save one life, it is worth doing.”

We are honoured to support this life-saving service and thank everyone whose generosity made this possible.
