Hello everyone π
As we've recently had an increase in followers to our page, I thought I'd re-introduce us and our little business.

My name is Annie and with Colin, we run Westcoast Taxis Ltd which is based in the quiet rural village of St Twynnells, Pembroke.
Colin and myself had talked at length about the idea of setting up a local taxi service as felt the local rural communities around us needed provision of a local and reliable taxi service. As we also live in a popular holiday location, we equally felt visitors to the area may not wish to drive to our fabulous array of beaches, pubs, restaurants and places of interest and would much prefer to relax and leave the car, camper van or bikes parked up for a night or two or maybe even longer. So after much discussion and deliberation we took the plunge and formed team Westcoast.
Initially we had only one 4 seater vehicle and Colin did much of the driving until we obtained a 6 seater vehicle (our black S-Max). Then we both headed out on the roads. We soon swapped our 4 seater vehicle for another 6 seater S-Max (White). Having our cars sign written so you knew who we were when we arrived to pick you up.
Our fleet now comprises 4 vehicles:-
π Black Ford S-Max (Sign written)
π White Ford S-Max (Sign written)
π Black Estate Skoda Superb
π Dark Blue Skoda Octavia
Who are we behind the name?
Me, Annie πββοΈ I was new to taxi driving at the beginning of our journey. To be honest I found it a little daunting at first being a female driver and wasn't sure if it was for me. I'd been used to being in a cozy office in front of a computer for a good many years in primary care. Spending my days problem solving, fixing things (mainly IT issues), attending meetings, and assisting in running and managing a large team, to name just a few. Prior to that I worked in the Fire Service for a good few years. So as you can see, taxi driving is a far cry from what I'd been used to.
Colin πββοΈ on the other hand wasn't new to driving a taxi and therefore had somewhat more experience of it than me. Colin is always full of chatter, fun and story telling with clients. He gets us our fabulous reviews as is very proactive in asking (whereby I tend to forget to ask π€¦ββοΈ) and our customers love him to bits. Perhaps this stems from his long and successful career spanning nearly 30 years of being in the sales arena. He has a great sense of humour which you'll all be privy to if you get in his taxi π.
So far though, what we've taken from this venture is we get to meet so many lovely people everyday who all have their own amazing stories to tell. There isn't a day goes by where we're not chatting and laughing with clients. Days can be filled with so much banter, light heartedness, kindness and also sharing a small window of time in people's day.
When time allows we love to be out on the road on two wheels (the opportunity unfortunately doesn't arise often enough) and between us we love to fish, be creative, gardening, spending time with our family and our 3 dogs.
This is us in a nutshell! We're so grateful to each and every one of you helping us to grow our small business.
Thank you for taking the time in reading this very long post and getting to know us a little better.
We look forward to meeting you soon on your next journey.
Best wishes
