Available all year, Neidpath Castle provides an idyllic setting for your special day. The Laigh Hall with vaulted ceiling is perfect for your religious or civil wedding ceremony. Receptions and glorious wedding breakfasts are held in the Great Hall, with the log fire roaring. Celebrate in a picturesque setting of tapestries and panelled walls surrounded by the stunning Hannasch Batiks depicting th

e life of Mary Queen of Scots. The scope for creating your very own decorative dreams is endless with the rugged stone walls of the castle there to enhance all styles from classic, to low key or even gothic. Accommodation in Queen Mary's Chamber, and in the adjacent Barmkin is perfect for the couple and close family, and our other luxury properties, Barns Tower, Barns Library and Barns Bothy are just 5 minutes drive along the River Tweed. Plenty of car parking is available. Seating for up to 90 within the castle and for larger wedding parties a site can be provided for a marquee.

?? Can bionutrition be a key driver in the transition to sustainable farming and consequently enhanced biodiversity and carbon sequestration ??

Thinking (very crudely):

🤒 Unhealthy soil produces nutrient-deficient food which negatively impacts human health.

🐄 Healthy soil produces nutritious food (both animals and plants).

🛒 Humans seek nutritious food (health food markets in the UK are valued in the billions)

🥬 Consumers can have confidence that a sustainable and regeneratively farmed fresh product will be nutritionally dense, as per the latest research coming out of the Bionutrient Food Association (BFA)

💰 Demand for nutritious food can give farmers the confidence to switch to regenerative practices knowing that a market exists.

Therefore, bionutrition be a key driver in the transition to sustainable farming.

The end goal of the BFA is to enable consumers to check the nutritional value of our food using our phones. The wider implications on agriculture, the food industry, the NHS and many more are potentially huge.

Come and see Dan Kittredge, founder of the BFA, speak at Neidpath Castle across a two-day workshop (March 7th, 8th) where he will discuss the game-changing research and give the audience the opportunity to drill into the detail and the wider implications. Our Story

Neidpath Castle is a 14th century medieval castle, available all year for weddings, exclusive events, filming and private tours.

Weddings

Available all year, Neidpath Castle provides an idyllic setting for your special day. The Laigh Hall with vaulted ceiling seats up to 80 wedding guests for your religious or civil wedding ceremony. After-ceremony receptions can be held within the grounds of the Castle, or drinks and light refreshments can be served* in the Great Hall, a picturesque setting with panelled walls and stunning batiks depicting the life of Mary Queen of Scots. You are able to decorate the castle with as many flowers as you like. And access will be permitted for you to make your own arrangements. We can also provide you with helpful photographer and catering contacts. Plenty of car parking is available. For larger wedding parties a site can be provided for a marquee. (Marquee is not included.)
