EVENT | Open Farm Sunday is back for 2026 at Preston Hall Farm, Rosemains Steading 🌾🚜

We’re delighted to once again open our gates for Leaf Open Farm Sunday - a free, family-friendly event giving visitors the chance to learn more about modern farming, livestock, food production, and life on the farm.

Expect machinery displays, hands-on learning, tractor trailer tours, local food & drink, and the chance to meet the farming team alongside organisations including The Moredun Foundation the Mordun group, RHET Lothian, AHDB and SAYFC Young Farmers

We’re also excited for you to meet the residents of Rosemains Steading, see their spaces, how they work and browse their products. 🎨✨

🚜 Tractor trailer tours (£2 per person)
🚗 Parking available on site (£5 per car)
🍔 Local food & drink vendors on site
🐶 Dogs welcome on leads
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fun and educational for all ages

EVENT - CANCELLED

Preston Hall Snowdrops 0

We are absolutely gutted to have to cancel the snowdrops this weekend but I’m afraid the weather has made it impossible to run the event safely.

Despite the gorgeous weather due tomorrow, ground conditions and the potential for ice make it too dangerous to continue. The irony of a snowdrop event being cancelled by a drop of snow!

We will look to try and rearrange so if you would like to keep updated then please sign up to our newsletter or keep an eye out on our social channels.

EVENTS | Today is National Snowdrop Day and the perfect day to announce that next Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February we are open for our Snowdrops!

Similar to last year we are working with to support

We will be offering light refreshments and suggesting walks of varying lengths to make the most of the beautiful snowdrops. We might even have a wee plant nursery so you can take some home with you. Wrap up warm and where some good shoes for stomping around.
