It’s officially crazy season.......planting, pricking out, and repeat.

I’m still a bit hesitant to call myself a "flower farmer", but as this new space starts to fill up, it’s starting to feel like i'm finding my feet. One plant at a time! 👩‍🌾🌸🌱

How I dry ranunculus…...

Tip 1: Wait until they’re a bit more open than you’d normally pick for fresh flowers—past that squishy marshmallow stage (see pics 3 & 4).

Tip 2: Strip off the foliage, but keep the small buds with a hint of colour—they’re perfect for flower crowns and buttonholes!

Tip 3: Hang in single stems somewhere dry, out of direct sunlight… and be patient ✨

Save this for later if you want to give it a go 😊

I promised myself I’d be sensible with the new field….nope. I have sown 1000s of seedlings 🤦‍♀️

Why can't I stop?! 😂 My greenhouse (and my legs) are definitely feeling the scale-up this yr! On the bright side, I have plenty of backups if it all goes wrong! 🌸✨

This week's flowers 🌷 and still perfecting the spiral. I find Spring flowers particularly tricky to play with but for now, imperfect will have to do!

A few simple tips if you're also doing the same ⬇️

🌱 Pinch out Cosmos when young for bushier plants and more flowers 🌸
🌱 I prick out my seedlings using a fondue fork - it works perfectly!
🌱 Dahlias need warmth - mine go in the greenhouse. Don't overwater at this stage!
