Don’t panic! We love a veil, but we are anti the WRONG veil.

We don’t have many rules here at QBB, but we do believe if you’re going to have a veil then do it well. We see so many posts online treating the veil as an after thought, or an area to save money by buying through cheap websites, this can ruin your whole wedding day look. It doesn’t even have to be a fancy veil, a plain cut is always lovely, but please consider:

🩶 Colour- our veils come in 9 different shades of what you might think are the same colour. But if you get it wrong and the veil too white or too cream for your dress, it’ll stand out like a sore thumb in your photos- ick
🩶 Fabric- veils are made from tulle, but there are so many different types; Italian tulle, silk tulle, English tulle…to name just a few. If you get it wrong and your dress is tulle, the veil could hang and move completely differently to your dress- stiff crispy veils? ick
🩶 Lace- if your dress is lace and you want lace on your veil, then please order a plain veil from us, we can then order more lace from your dress so you can have a bespoke veil made to ensure it all matches perfectly. Occasionally you can find a lace that matches so closely you wouldn’t know, but otherwise mixing laces? ick
🩶 Two tiers- the length of the second tier can differ greatly. If you are choosing to wear the blusher layer over your face it could finish anywhere from your chin to your waist, you’ll need to try it to know.

Sometimes we have brides who will try on veils with us whilst they are in their dress, they then ask us to write down the colour, length, style etc of their favourite...NO! We know what you are doing, we’re not going to help you order the wrong veil online! Just because our designer calls a colour Ivory it doesn’t mean another designers ivory is the same. Just because our designers floor length veil is called a Chapel length it doesn’t mean another designers might not be a foot shorter or longer. Just because our veil has sparkles it doesn’t mean they’ll be spaced out the same as on another sparkly veil.

The only way to really get it right is to order the one you can try with your dress. Questions? x

🐝 QUEEN BEE BRIDE 🐝 we really do enjoy a church wedding, you just can’t beat the atmosphere and emotions created when the bride starts her journey down that long and beautiful aisle. So when our lovely Lauren sent over these images of her special day they were such a treat to look through. The prettiest dress and the most spectacular veil creating that all important wow moment. And those incredible flowers created by a very clever family friend 🩶

We’ll be opening our doors from 11am until 2pm on Sunday 26th July, and welcome all you lovely engaged 💍ladies to pop in for a relaxed and no pressure look around the boutique!
