We are sorry to hear the news of the recent Brewers Fayre and Beefeater closures and know this will affect many chefs and hospitality professionals in the local area.

Here at Babbacombe Inn, we're expanding our team and we'd love to hear from any chefs or front of house affected by the recent closures who are looking for their next role.

If you're passionate about great food, customer service, take pride in your work, and are looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

Now the dust has settled after an amazing 2026 Paignton Festival and event site is cleared in just one day. There’s Thanks to be made to our sponsors that make it possible Anderton & Rowlands Fun Fair, Babbacombe Inn, then their the team of contractors
Geo Security, Riviera Events Solutions Medical team, Havills electrical services, EHS toilet Hire, TFS Fencing, Marldon Marquees, Eagle plant site office a major control point, Ross Lomas stage & Stage Lighting, Luke Stapleton Sound engineering, Michelle from Bass Beats, entertainment provider. Bar Staff, gate staff, catering staff, Baysafe Fire extinguisher provider, John and Harry our early morning site litter pickers, toilet cleaning, Rob and Ashley for all their hard work during the last 17 days, and on to our refreshments team Carol, Bev, Adrian who have worked so hard serving refreshment, cold drinks teas etc over last 1- days but sadly after over 30years each volunteer every year they have decided to hang up the tea towel for the last time, to go and enjoy retirement thank you for the money you have raised over the years supporting event costs and local charities. Our two car show organisers Torbay Old Wheel Club, Dubs at the Beach, both had great turnout of exhibitors.
A huge thank you also goes to our few volunteers who gave time on procession day and fireworks night Bradley and Ben. Claire and Laura our social Media team The biggest thanks must go to our supporters old and new that support us every year. Here’s to 2027 subject to sponsorship. Now to get the event trailer back into storage for another year.
