I am fortunate to work with many inter-faith couples and being an independent celebrant allows me to carefully craft their ceremony to ensure it reflects their beliefs in a way that is inclusive and meaningful.❤

Irene and Steve celebrated their union in the beautiful gardens of and their wedding ceremony captured the relaxed, joyful, loving atmosphere they were looking for whilst also honouring Irene’s Catholic faith by including an Opening Prayer and a Blessing, delivered by her aunties who had flown in from Ireland. It really was the most beautiful ceremony.💚

We also included a modern hand-tying and their choice of ribbons held special meaning to them both; green represented their beloved Ireland gold was the colour of their wedding rings, symbolising eternal commitment and burgundy, the colour of a deep red rose; the flower of love.💛

Their choice of venue was also just perfect, Hookhouse Farm is a working Dairy Farm and as Irene grew up on a Dairy Farm in Ireland, the sound of the cows mooing made her feel right at home and they loved the relaxed vibe!

Your wedding ceremony is the heart of your day, so make it memorable and meaningful by including all the things that are important to you both. Celebrating family!❤

Including your children in your ceremony whatever their age can turn the moment into something even more meaningful; your wedding is not only a union between the two of you, but a celebration of your whole family.

For blended families, including children acknowledges that you are not only forming a partnership, but you are strengthening your family. Also many couples give their nieces and nephews or their younger siblings an important role in their ceremony.

Over the years, I have worked with my couples to find different ways to do this that feels right for them; we’ve had little flower girls sprinkling petals; nephews who have presented the rings in carefully made lego ring boxes, older children delivering a poem they had chosen or written themselves and also adult children, taking part in unity candle rituals and sand ceremonies to signify family unity.

Adrian and Louisa embraced the opportunity a celebrant-led ceremony allows by including memorable and meaningful elements involving their family. Their six adult children and Adrian's Best Man joined them for a singalong to “It Must Be Love” by Madness and all sang very enthusiastically. Readings were delivered by their daughters and to round off the ceremony, they all took part in a Cocktail Unity Ceremony; each taking it in turns to add an ingredient to a central jug to create their new wedding cocktail, named “The Tying The Knot”! It was then carefully poured into eight shot glasses and on the count of three, they raised their glasses and drank to family, friendship and a very happy future!

“Nikki was a wonderful celebrant for our wedding at The Oak Barn, Frame Farm. From the very beginning, she was incredibly warm, helpful and genuinely invested in getting to know us as a couple.

Before the wedding, she visited our home taking the time to understand our story and what mattered most to us, and she reflected that beautifully in the ceremony she created. It felt completely tailored to us which was lovely.

She was also exceptionally organised throughout. From writing a thoughtful and engaging script to creating a clear positioning document so everyone knew exactly where to stand, she made sure everything ran smoothly. Her communication was excellent the whole way through, which gave us so much confidence leading up to the big day.

There were so many personal touches that made the ceremony unforgettable. Having a singalong with my Mum playing the piano was incredibly special, and Nikki embraced it so naturally. She also helped us include my Dad in the ceremony with a blessing, which meant the world to us - and is something we wouldn’t have been able to do in a more traditional registrar setting.

On the day itself, everything came together perfectly. The ceremony was full of love, laughter, and joy - and even a few surprise appearances (and vocals) from the sheep and lambs!

We’re so grateful to Nikki for creating such a meaningful and memorable ceremony and would definitely recommend her.”

This time last year, Jen and Simon were celebrating their union at the stunning !❤

Their ceremony was held in the charming, rustic Oakley Barn and fully reflected their vision as it was beautiful, personalised, extremely meaningful and I was thrilled when they let me know, soon after that it was everything they dreamed it would be.

Their guests thoroughly enjoyed hearing their love story and it was such a beautiful, emotional moment when Jen and Simon made their heartfelt personal vows to each other. They chose two fantastic readings, that reflected Jen’s love of literature and also her faith. The Protea flower featured in the pastel florals and also on their ceremony stationary, to bring a touch of Jen’s South African heritage.

It was such a joyous celebration that I will always look back on with fond memories and I can’t believe this year has passed so quickly!

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary Jen and Simon, I hope you’re enjoying your celebrations and taking a moment to reminisce on your special day? Love and hugs to you both. 🥰❤

My first wedding of the year, took place at the stunning on Friday and what a better way to start to wedding season than with a beautiful outdoor ceremony in blue skies and sunshine! ❤

Following a long search for their perfect wedding venue, Naomi and James finally arrived at the Oak Barn, Frame Farm and fell in love with the romantic, rustic, welcoming feel and the relaxed vibe. They had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony and fortunately, the beautiful spring day allowed us to be situated outside the Byre enjoying the glorious countryside views with the spring lambs frolicking in the adjacent fields.

I loved our journey together; taking time to get to know Naomi and James allowed me to write their beautiful, personalised ceremony ensuring it included all the things that were important to them. The ceremony music was provided by Naomi’s Mum, Fiona on piano with Holly on vocals which was so special.

We set the tone for the ceremony with a Sing-a-long to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, which everyone joined in very enthusiastically. I then shared their love story and reflected on their journey to their special day and Naomi’s friend, Chloe, shared a beautiful, personally written reading about love.

They made their heartfelt commitments and vows to each other and exchanged wedding rings and Naomi’s Dad, Andrew then delivered a heartfelt and very beautiful Marriage Blessing before I presented them to their families and friends as husband and wife. A truly beautiful ceremony, full of love and laughter.

Following the big confetti photo in the courtyard, everyone celebrated with bubbles and bites in the Pole Barn.

Congratulations Naomi and James, it has been such a joy being your celebrant, I hope your ceremony was all you dreamed it would be. Can’t wait to see the photos! ❤

Today; 22nd February is a very important date for Theresa and Luke as it is the anniversary of when they first became official 15 years ago! So their wedding celebration last year at Coltsford Mill Wedding Venue perfectly captured the wonderful 14 year journey of these two childhood sweethearts, the story of two best friends who fell in love.

Their relaxed, joyful wedding celebrations reflected all the special things that were meaningful to them; Theresa and Luke love building Lego and every member of their wedding party wore their own Lego character button-hole and their wedding rings were presented in a Lego treasure chest.

We included a beautiful, modern Hand Tying during their vows, sealing them forever within the knot. The ceremony was closed with a Cocktail Unity Ceremony to represent the joining of their two lives in a fun way, ensuring the vibe was set for the rest of their celebrations. I explained the fun symbolism of each ingredient as it was added into their personalised glass to create The Taylor Tequila Sunrise Wedding Cocktail. Two gold straws were then added and together they took three big sips to toast their love for each other to cheers from their guests. Lots of fun and their Wedding Cocktail was served to everyone as a celebratory drink after the ceremony.

The past year has been a very exciting one for Theresa and Luke; they are now a family of three, having welcomed their beautiful little girl and I am so thrilled for them!

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary you lovely two! I enjoyed every moment of being your Celebrant, a wonderful couple, an fantastic ceremony and an all-round amazing day, thank you for letting me be a part of it! Wishing you continued love and happiness in your lives together! ❤❤❤

What a wonderful way to start 2026! ❤

I am so thrilled to share the exciting news that Perfect Words Ceremonies has received the Hitched.co.uk Award for Surrey Wedding Celebrant 2026 for the third year in a row!🎉

Lisa and Winston flew over from Texas to hold their incredible wedding ceremony in the magnificent Inner Hall of on a chilly but crisp January day. They were joined by all their favourite people for their exciting wedding adventure, the atmosphere was amazing!♥

Hever Castle has always been a special place for Lisa and Winston; they had visited previously during their many visits to England and Lisa holds a deep love of history and always dreamed of being married in a Tudor castle.🏰

Their ceremony was completely tailored to them to reflect all the things that hold meaning whilst also bringing the romantic, warm, relaxed atmosphere they were looking for. Family were given key roles; Winston’s daughters were his Best Women, Lisa’s sister was Maid of Honour and the rings were delivered enthusiastically by young Sokratis. Lisa was escorted by her lovely Dad and her Mum took part in the Handfasting ceremony.

To bring a light-hearted touch to proceedings, we included a Wine Unity Ceremony, during which Lisa and Winston created their very own Wedding Day Vintage by blending Hever’s Red and White Anciens Temps wine into a central glass, they then toasted their past, present and future love, which definitely set the vibe for the rest of the celebrations. Winston loved their new vintage so much, he continued to blend the wines for cocktail hour!🍷

I really had a blast working with Lisa and Winston and we have continued to keep in touch, in fact, Lisa and I met up again when she was recently in the UK to see Anne Boleyn The Musical at Hever! They are such a fantastic couple and I loved their energy and enthusiasm throughout our journey together.

I’ve no idea where that year has gone, but I will always look back on Lisa and Winston’s very special day with the fondest of memories.

Wishing lovely Sophie and James a very happy 1st Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday! 🎉❤

Their wedding celebrations were held last year at the stunning Northbrook Park on a very crisp New Years Eve Eve!

I truly loved writing and delivering their wonderful personalised ceremony in the most beautiful setting; the Vine Room is a stunning, welcoming space and the twinkling lights on the Christmas Tree and the roaring log fire gave it warm, festive feel.

We acknowledged Sophie's Scottish and Swiss heritage and ensured that guests who had travelled from overseas felt very much a part of the celebrations, throughout the ceremony I delivered elements in both French and English - my french accent might not have been perfect, but it was understood and the sentiment was appreciated! 😀 Roddy The Bagpiper provided the ceremony music and we also included a Celtic Handfasting to symbolise unity and commitment, with the ribbon colours of red, white and blue, reflecting the English, Swiss and Scottish flags!

Their script reflected their personalities, values and shared their journey and there was a wonderful rollercoaster of emotions throughout including lots of laughter. Their deep love for each other shone through and it was such an honour to have been a part of the heart of their beautiful day and to make treasured memories for them.

Sophie and James, that year has really flown by, I hope you have the most wonderful time celebrating and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter.♥
