It can be tricky to blend an older piece of furniture into your home decor. But if you love it - embrace it!

Here I have added modern lights and a feature wall.

The alternative with the extra pop of colour with the pink orchids I love, although it may be too much for some tastes.

A key finding is that the home is significantly more important to our happiness than our income or job. Size, location and home ownership have far less impact on happiness than we might expect 🏡

Being happy with our home makes us much more likely to feel happy in general. Investing time and energy in our home is therefore one way to boost our overall happiness 💓
