A little border we planted in March this year filling out nicely. Foxgloves are one of my favourite flowers and they are bringing me so much joy at the moment. The new roses Desdemona are blooming and the pale pink buds turning white accidentally pair so well with the pinky white geraniums.

Some of the plants we planted are;

Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’
Sesalatis autumnalis
Rose ‘Desdemona’
Euonymus balls
Heuchera
Digitalis alba
Sweet peas
White corncockle
Thyme
Geranium x cantabrigiense ‘St Ola’

A celebration of the season, this late May wedding really captured the essence of the current hot balmy days we are having, warm evenings scented with roses. The most delicate British blooms from many growers across Surrey and Sussex, it’s truly magnificent to know most of these blooms were nurtured by one persons hands, lovingly grown over months and years by the best artisan growers.

A special thank you to our British growers:

Late April beauties, all the froth and gorgeousness of British spring blooms.
Delicious flowers from and narcissi & lilac from my cutting garden ✨🤍

Spring truly is my favourite month, not just because of the delicate blooms, but because of the scent of fresh green growth in the air and the promise of lighter days after a long dark winter here in the UK

April flew by with our little precious girl being born, and in between naps and cuddles, I had to make a little appreciation for the flowers I planted for Lilia’s arrival. At 7 months pregnant on a wet January day, I determinedly planted over 100 Tulip ‘Purissima’ and Narcissus ‘Thalia’ bulbs with the hope they will be blooming for our baby’s arrival. It was if by pure magic, the day we arrived back from hospital, all the flowers had burst into full bloom, along with the frothy white wild cherry behind the house.

This is why I love working with seasonal British blooms, as they truly capture the essence of that very moment in time, and now forever when I see these flowers I will remember the day we first brought our girl home 🤍✨

Spring in Sussex feeling rather glorious this year! The Narcissi Thalia and Tulipa purissima flowering away.

I went into hospital and it felt very much like early spring, the daffodils and narcissi all in flower and the blackthorn blossom in its abundant frothy white. On returning home it was like full spring had suddenly arrived. The daffodils were over and now the bluebells are nodding in the wind. The tulips have burst open and the cherry blossom is billowing. Spring is my favourite season of the year, the scent of fresh green growth and the feeling that life has returned along with the best of the flowers. I love noticing this micro shifts in season, feeling alive with the earth itself ✨🤍

Daffodil – written Sussex, England

You remind me of a daffodil
The first hint of hope on a spring morning
Joyful and bright, hello, look at me!
Nodding merrily in the breeze
I can’t help but smile
A spring in our step as we skip across the road
And a sweet, sweet kiss
To linger on our lips
A wave goodbye,
And a look of bliss in your eyes

The daffodils are out in full abundance lining the lanes of our lovely village and the charming surrounding flint stone villages. Reminding me of this arrangement from 3 years ago! Where does the time go, and so much has changed and evolved since then! I’m feeling excited to get my hands on some blooms and keep creating. I will be expanding my offering to include farewell/funeral flowers, something that’s very close to my heart, it’s such a special and personal moment to be able to celebrate someone’s life with flowers you just know they would adore, that maybe capture the magic of their own garden, or their love of flowers. If you are in need of flowers to send off a loved one, please do drop a message via instagram or our website ✨🤍

Feeling truly swept up in the high energy of summer… busy work, love, laughter, friends and grief all intertwine. Have you ever felt that you were in the season of winter at the height of summer? This can sometimes be such an odd juxtaposition and how to embrace the sun and summer energy in your own way? This summer I am feeling more aligned with the season and allowing myself float along with the sun rays and sea waves. It feels that we are slowly sloping to a calmer season as we move closer to the autumn equinox and I am enjoying the ride, trying to savour this moment of full bloom. And trying not to feel sad as the end of some of the summer flowers comes, as the sweet peas turn to seed pods, but the grasses begin to sway and there’s still some of my favourite flower to come such as the cosmos and Japanese anemones… still more excitement to come ✨
