This wedding was epic, quick ceremony at Oxford registry office, then wedding party walked through Oxford’s city streets. Quick pit stop at The Head of the River, boarded a boat on the River Thames, to take us to Isis Farmhouse for another ceremony and the wedding reception. The after party was full of entertainment as many of the guests were in bands… it was a long night and the dance floor was packed. Josh Haken

I am thrilled to announce that I have completed my 100K challenge, supporting the Silver Star Unit at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This journey was incredibly tough, taking me 17 hours and 48 minutes, well into the early hours of the morning. I faced significant challenges and issues with pain from my stress fracture, plus my head torch running out of battery on the last leg, which was a problematic downhill section, and I had to dig deep to find the mental and physical strength to continue.

The Silver Star Unit is crucial for pregnant mothers and birthing people facing serious complications, offering comprehensive care with a dedicated team of midwives and nurses.

In just four days, I will be taking on the 100K Race to the Stones Ultra on Saturday. Training for this event has been incredibly challenging. I faced a suspected stress fracture that forced me to significantly reduce my training for two to three months, impacting my preparation. However, I'm now back to running three to four times a week.

I am dedicated to completing this race for personal achievement and supporting a cause close to my heart. I am fundraising for the Oxford Hospitals Charity, specifically for the Silver Star Maternity Fund. Your support would mean the world to me and help me make a significant impact.
