Cruise'N'Bass started back in 2006 as an idea formed by DJ Rebel A.C, MC/DJ Ricky D and MC/DJ Jed. Not sure if our idea would be a success, we went and followed our gut instinct and proceeded to organise the event. A few months before, we promoted all over Oxford using flyers,posters and our connections in the D'nB world to get the word around. Acts booked for the first C'nB were Total Science,MC
Five Alive, DJ's Grey, Jed, Ricky D and DJ Rebel A.C and Mc Sandman. As event day came closer tickets were selling well but we were still not sure if this would sell out. Well come event day virtually all tickets were sold, so before a record was spun and a lyric spat, C'nB was already a success.The event itself went amazing everyone there just rocked the Thames and everyone on it was sure they'd be back. So another C'nB was organised for 2007 and the line up was DJ Total Science,MC Five Alive and Digital Era plus MC Flex, DJ/MC's Rikki D and Jed and DJ Gray. As with 2006 the event was promoted the same and due to the success of our 2006 event, it sold out a month before event day. 2007 rocked even harder and was a major success. So C'nB was back on the River Thames again for a third year and for the first time and due to the popularity of Cruise'N'Bass, we now had two events planned for the summer of 2008,1st June and 24th August. The first one was Atmosphere world tour with DJ Nookie and Mc Five Alive, Furney, Greenfly, Qumulus, Alongside the beautiful vocal talents of Mc Lady Free, OMG, what an amazing voice, alongside residents. Big sell out once again. Next was a bank holiday Jungle special with DJ Ash A Tack playing his birthday set , Mc Blacka, and residents, this was another success. 2009, we decided to have a later start and finish time and we had another Atmospere world tour event with our good friend DJ Nookie alongside Mc Focus, DJ dv8, Digital Era, Johny Bravo, alongside residents. Big respect to Nookie and Focus for playing a wicked hour and a half of pure liquid vibes. 2010 and little did we know at the time, this would go on to be our last Cruise N Bass boat party due to another boat party organiser having trouble on theirs 1 week before. The line up for this event was DJ Devious Rudeboy D, DJ Kane, alongside the vocal talents of MC Five Alive, and Phantom. What an amazing set from all. Of course all residents too!!!!
