Forest Hill Flowers Hi there, I'm Agnes - your local florist from Oxfordshire. Let's celebrate seasonal changes with a dose of floral happiness.

Born and raised by green fingered parents who owned a small family flower business. From a young age I have felt the urge to be in the wild, appreciate natures gifts and savour seasonal changes. After finishing journalism studies and navigating through the wild marketing jungle for almost 10 years, I’m finally answering my true calling – being a florist. My ongoing love affair with flowers for all these decades alongside with numerous floristry courses have led me to this walk of life, which fills me inside out and enables to awaken the artist within. My designs are inspired by the seasonal shifts that are happening in the nature and within our lives. I believe that we must celebrate and nurture these changes by fulfilling our daily lives with the help of delicate beauty that flowers may bring. MY STYLE
I prefer not to label my work to a specific style, but nature and seasonal flowers have always had a special place in my heart. I always tend to put something in my arrangements that come from my garden or my surroundings, whether it is a branch of blackberries, sweet pea tendrils, wild rosehips, or scented herbs. However, if I must name a style, then probably it is closer to garden and botanical floral design. EVERYDAY LIFE

If you don’t find me in my workshop, I’m probably out and about with my little one and my husband enjoying muddy puddles, seeking adventures on our hikes, or having a forest therapy if the creative block kicks in.

Another garden to vase 🌸

I’ve been waiting for this since the day I chose my dahlia tubers last year — just to be able to cut flowers from my own garden and bring them together in an arrangement like this. What an absolute joy it is to see your own vision slowly come to life.

Nature really does teach us patience. From ordering the seeds and tubers, nurturing everything in the greenhouse, planting out, watering, covering from frost, and then somehow getting through the unimaginable drought we had this year…

And I couldn’t wish for a better result. Just look at how beautifully the apricot cosmos complements the dahlias, and how perfectly the strawflowers blend in…

I’m amazed at the beauty we can grow ourselves with a little effort, a lot of patience, and plenty of faith in the process

How often do you make time to be creative, just for yourself? Not for work, not for anyone else — simply for the joy of it.

I’ve learned that when an idea comes to me, if I don’t actually book an afternoon in to make it happen, chances are it never will.

Because amongst all the things we have to juggle and the never-ending race - it’s so easy to keep putting the things that bring us joy at the bottom of the list.

So this is your little encouragement to make some time for yourself.

Play with the flowers in your garden. Set aside an afternoon tea hour and create a beautiful little setting just because you can.

And if you don’t have flowers growing in your garden, pay a visit to your local flower farm. Pick a beautiful bunch and bring them home. Spend an afternoon arranging them, playing with colour, shape and texture, with absolutely no purpose other than enjoying yourself.

I promise you, the happiness it brings is completely worth it.

Sometimes we don’t need to achieve anything.

Sometimes we just need to make something beautiful for purely for the pleasure of it.

So very grateful to the wonderful S & M for trusting me with their wedding flowers.

There’s so much hard work behind the scenes — the planning, flower prepping, conditioning, worrying about the weather, transporting everything and making sure the flowers are at their very best.

But when it all comes together, especially in a setting as beautiful as Christ Church, I honestly sometimes can’t believe how lucky I am to be able do what I do.

And looking back through the photos afterwards gives me a real pinch-me moment.

A little behind the scenes from J & R’s beautiful wedding.

It was such a pleasure to be their florist and help bring Jessica’s floral vision to life. We used flowers and foliage grown in their own garden and the surrounding countryside, alongside a carefully chosen blooms sourced from other local growers.

The result was a joyful collection of flowers that felt personal, seasonal, and full of colour—a cheerful, bright, and beautiful celebration of the beginning of a new chapter together.
