It’s a while until our next event, hopefully there will be a lovely summer between now and then. This account will now go a little quiet until it’s time to start sharing our Autumn line up of wonderful makers, some returning to us from previous fairs and some who are new to at Escot

Until then, have a great summer xx

Woweee! What a wonderful and special day despite the wind and rain scuppering our outdoor spaces and demonstrations.

I think Clay must be a magical medium, it brings so much joy, both to the makers and to those who collect the creations. And there was such a diverse range there on Saturday, every single maker doing something totally different with a very similar material.

It’s a shame it’s over but hopefully we’ll do it again.

So all thats left to say now is a very big thank you, to our hosts for providing such a lovely space and incredible cake, to our makers for displaying their work so beautifully (every stall looked amazing) and especially to all our visitors who braved the elements and came to look, chat and buy new pieces that they’ll enjoy for a long time.

THANK YOU xx

We had planned to have a big space outside for demonstrations throughout the day as well as a handful of gazebo stalls in East Devon, unfortunately our wonderful British weather has decided that the flowers and plants need a wash and blow dry 😂.

There will still be a house packed to the brim with ceramicists to meet and hundreds of one of a kind purchases to make.

And did I mention cake? 🍰 There will be lots and lots of homemade cake as well as savouries, soft drinks and I think the bar might be open too!

Perhaps the best place to spend a wet and windy day in Devon. See you there!

Lots and lots of prep going on across the region today for tomorrow’s first ceramics fair in East Devon

Unfortunately the weather forecast has meant we’ve had to abandon plans to have demonstrations and gazebo stalls outside but the house will still be full to the brim of amazing artisan makers to meet and hundreds of one of a kind pieces to buy.

See you there x

It’s tomorrow! Pat’s characterful animals are bound to put a smile on any face.

“I started hand building with clay 35 years ago as a hobby and still love it as much today. Some pieces are thrown on the wheel before being altered and added to, carefully building character to each piece with the intention of making people smile.
As some of my work lends itself to the garden, it’s made from stoneware clay fired at a high temperature to withstand the cold weather”.
