We start lambing this week! The spring joy after a very wet winter !!! Students will be learning how to monitor the pregnant ewes, nutrition management, signs of labour. Hopefully get the chance to assist with a birth. The after care and management and much more. It incorporates maths, science in very practical applications!

Bull calf born last night. On the late night check the cow was seen and needed assistance. So we bought her in to our calving pen, ropes and winch were used to help get the calf out. At midnight this fella was being well looked after by mum!! This is not a day job, it’s 247 you can never predict your hours.

Our alternative provision enables students to learn in a practical environment. Using a maths and physics, along with design & technology skills, students worked with us to put up this new gated area.
