Wow I love how well our bespoke flowers work so well with the pink blush dress and the pop of reds on the gorgeous shirt.

Leanne wanted something totally bespoke with a mix of black Calla Lily’s, Romantic shades of Roses, Oriental Orchids, dried, baked and faux foliage added.

Have to admit the bouquet weighed heavy with all the quality flowers Leanne chose.

It was an absolute blessing to make this for such a special couple.

I’ve known Pampas grass for years before it was even popular…

Grandparents had a teak clad games room filled with vases of Pampas which came from the gardens each year.

Secret tips are to dust with gold or silver, dip or spray with hairspray to preserve.

I don’t have many photos from over the years sadly.

So many versions of pink…

My recent bride could offer me a sample of her dress fabric but I knew as soon as I saw the photo which ribbon to use….

This is almost a pearly blush pink lined with beautiful pearl trim, setting off her colours with. The bouquet but also matches her dress perfectly!

Not to mention we also colour matched the bunnies 🐰 tails so that it coordinates perfectly!

Cannot wait to see the official photos.

♥️ FEB 2023 // Wedding Day ♥️

Well my own hubby finally booked our wedding in Feb 2023. I had no time or much money to order any flowers so I poached my family home garden, using eucalyptus from the tree near our pond, artichoke leaves from the big plant up the allotment garden, some other foliage from around the field gardens, then I asked a lovely florist in Morpeth (can’t recall its name) to buy a few beautiful red roses and threw it together with some dried grass I’d collected from a beach on holiday in the previous summer.

When I design your bouquet it’s always welcome for you to include some of your own grown flowers or I can add flowers which are meaningful either, making it super unique.

I added some of my fave wax flower (Chamelaucium) because of its lovely zesty lemon scent when crushed.

Everyone asked who made my bouquet it was amazing 😆

I even dusted it with gold flower dust ✨because we all need a little magic!

So, just shows you don’t have to spend the earth but do plan ahead!

Preparing for our next wedding at the end of January…

This is all that remains from the £150 order of baked flowers this week!

Took me 1.5hrs to condition, prepare, communicate, progress video and produce a large trailing bouquet (complex as had lots of unusual elements to add) and make two floral head pieces, as well as a small display for their top table.

Made in no time!

To note: yes even “faikies” need to be conditioned. Even the best quality velvet roses and high quality fake/ faux flowers come looking a little sorry for themselves and need to be cared for, this is where I condition them which consists of opening, spraying, dusting, tea dipping, scenting and so forth!

These tiny scraps go into the recycle bin as they’re made from good quality plastic so nothing wasted.

Adore my little hobby job, great for the mind and creative dopamine!

Well folks sorry for the radio silence I’ve been a busy little bee over Xmas (haven’t we all) but also quite poorly too.

Looking forward to promoting The Sapphire Tree more this year and making 2025 a cracking year for building on this hobby job!

To remind everyone that do charge very little simply for the home stock I use such as pins, florist wire, zip ties, oasis and other floristry items as well as for transport and ordering membership/ fees.

The flowers are ordered on your behalf at cost price (prices fluctuate almost by the minute and that’s for both faux and real). So when I quote you it’s for the flower price at the time of the quote. Any excess remaining will either be reimbursed or used to order some added extras needed for your order to add a little more detail or products needed to condition even the “fakies”.

So the price will be for whatever you want, the cost of these plus my makers fee and postage/ delivery. So usually very affordable and on budget for you. Small deposit needed at time of booking.
