DJing since 1995 under many obsolete guises and having previously been Promoter and Resident DJ at Widescreen and Region2 in York, The Battery Human has now drifted into the neon soaked world of Synthwave. Pooling all his experience with the other electronic genres he has played in the past to create carefully crafted, live recorded DJ mixes featuring the very best future retro Synthwave sounds, t

hese are his Neon Dreams. Occasionally he returns to his first love, the sound of Breakbeat. He calls it Progressive Breaks but who knows what it's classed as these days, either way expect some retro influences seeping through that reveal his long-time love of the sound, and also probably a bit of Hybrid. In 2026 The Battery Human returned to producing his own music, taking those retro Synthwave sounds that he loves and combining them into something niche and unique that he likes to call Post-Synthwave Progressive Breaks. All made with FL Studio, Diva and without a robot in sight.

After many years of lugging my old vinyl record collection about I've finally got enough space to set up some refurbished 1210 MKIIs and start relearning vinyl DJing with my classic collection of Golden Era Progressive House records. I'm still getting back into the swing of it and learning my new set up so this might not be the most flawless of mixes but it was fun getting back to my roots. I might re-record it when I'm a bit better, lol.

It has arrived! I finally have a vinyl copy of the greatest Synthwave album of all time!

Sounds amazing out of the MKII 1210s! Not that I'll ever DJ it from vinyl but it was essential to add it to the collection just for optimum listening quality. 👂

Thanks for this wonderful piece of music, it changed my life! 🤗
