We are having the car park at the Village Hall resurfaced, work will start tomorrow (Weds 6th) and last through the week, then continue Tuesday & Wednesday next week. Please note that the car park will NOT be available during this time.

Please note that the Village Hall car park will be closed off tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday, to enable machinery to be moved into place, and the unloading of equipment for the work on the hall roof. This means you will not be able to access the playing field, Community Orchard, Scout hut or recycling bins during working hours. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The Community Council are responsible for the upkeep of the Village Hall and playing field. Our AGM is Thursday 3rd April at 7.30pm in the Village Hall back room. We really need some new members, so please come along if you are interested.

We have received some funding to make some big improvements to the Village Hall and play area, but just as we are ready to go, there are some last minute increases in costs. We don't want to stop the work now as we could lose the funding, so if you're able to, please donate to help us improve these facilities for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who came to the lighting of the Christmas Tree last night - it was a wonderful way to start December! Thank you also to the Crafting Club who attended with their raffle, and The Otley & District Singers who led the carolling. We raised over £50 for Great Ormond Street, which will go together with money being raised by the Crafting Club, and the Village Post.

Don't forget we are turning on the Christmas Tree Lights at the Village Hall tomorrow evening, and there will be a chance for children to enter a draw to turn on the lights! There will be free mince pies and mulled wine - although donations will be welcome -any monies raised will go to Great Ormond Street. The Crafting Club will also be there selling tickets for their draw, and TOADS will be leading us in carol singing. If you're coming along and might want to donate some money or buy a raffle ticket, please note it is cash only!
