This is the sixth photo snapped with my swanky new Canon EOS R7, replacing my faithful Canon EOS 7D. We take a lot of pics at weddings, and last year the 7D struggled. Its parts are worn from the tens of thousands of pics taken since I bought it in 2009. I feel quite sentimental. The 7D has documented 16 years of my life and ALL of Barnutopia.

Beth and Martyn tied the knot with a beautiful ceremony on the yurt field on Saturday, 21 September 2024. The day started with ominous clouds, but the rain held off, although we broke out the umbrellas to shield Beth as she moved from Yurt Axana, where she chose to get ready, to the farmhouse rooms to set up for her aisle walk. We had "known" Beth on social media for a loooong time before she and Martyn got married here. We were delighted to host their wedding.

Meet Nano.

Nano is a new companion for Neil after our lovely Stacey died last week. Neil was distraught at losing his mother figure and cried for 2 days. I contacted our neighbour, and he kindly gave us Nano. She is a little ewe, the runt if you like (but we don't call her that), and will probably never reach typical full-size for a Zwartbles ewe. Nano has the narrow white stripe on her face. Neil has the broad stripe. She is getting braver by the day.

About Barnutopia

Tucked away in the heart of the rolling green Shropshire countryside is a beautiful rural retreat available for holidays or venue hire.

Accommodation in 4 glamping yurts, 1 stable, 3 cabins & a bunkhouse sleeping 35 to 50 guests. Campsite for additional guests.

Event barn for weddings and events for 20 to 120 guests. Licensed for ceremonies.

Large indoor/outdoor Dutch barn that’s great for campfires if it’s wet, cold or windy. Fully equipped kitchen, the cookhouse, with lounge area and a second kitchenette, the kitchen shack. Both kitchens have everything you need to prepare, cook and serve food. Bathroom block with mens, ladies, showers with wheelchair access. Unlimited hot water for showers.
