F L O W E R S &. F R I E N D S H I P: When I started my flower farm last year, I planted a few rose bushes and quickly fell in love with the stunning Koko Loco shades. Captivated by their unique beauty, I’ve added 20 more and they have bloomed this year beyond my expectations. The hydrangeas are gorgeous too, adding their own vibrant beauty to the mix. Their stunning blooms perfectly complement the roses, creating a breathtaking display in the flower farm.

Along this journey, I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting the talented Jody who has become a firm friend & whose floral artistry is incredible. Her latest creation using my blooms is truly remarkable; a testament to her skill and the inspiration we’ve both found in this blossoming world. Thank you, Jody, for adding such beauty & fun to my floral adventure! Jo X

L I L A C & L U P I N S: These late lilacs are dreamy; a delicious scent & the prettiest of pinks. The lupins always amaze me with their form; strong & robust yet delicate & otherworldly.

They were accompanied by tall, tall, tall alliums ‘Pink Jewel’, my favourite Queen of Sweden and the most delicate pin cushion Astrantia ‘Sparkling Pink Star’.

This selection across the pink spectrum are for the lovely Zara of .florals to work her floral magic with 🌱.

Side note. I feel very lucky as I really do meet the loveliest of people in this beautiful flowery world 🌸.

D I G I T A L I S: It’s ‘Tall Wednesday’ again & these beauties are here.

Digitalis (Foxglove) Dalmatian White epitomises grace & beauty in the garden & vase, standing tall & elegant like sentinels. Their graceful silhouettes create a sense of movement & their classic beauty never goes out of style, making them a cherished addition to your garden, pot or vase. Their beautiful bell-shaped white flowers are speckled inside with a deep magenta.

They hold the RHS award of ‘Plants for Pollinators’ as the bees just love them! 🐝

They serve as a reminder for us to all pause & admire the natural world. A must for the late spring/ early summer garden.

Thanks to for the Tall Wednesday fun 🌱.

The aquilegia, tellima & iris are standing tall too!

G O O D B Y E T U L I P S: They have been resplendent, majestic and utterly gorgeous. They have worked so hard in the spring garden, providing colour throughout, and now it’s time for them to say goodbye. Their frilly, frothy petals are reminiscent of peonies. Some have stood like towering sentinels while others gracefully bow, their beauty unyielding even in their final moments.

To all of you who have bought these blooms or commented on them. Thank you. It has been a joy to share their beauty with you.

I’m in the process of drying some to be used in everlasting floral arrangements. For now, onward to the summer blooms. The aquilegia and geums are now taking centre stage here with the Camassia & alliums waiting patiently in the wings…

My utterly fabulous friend visited & captured the tulips in their prime. Thank you Carolyn 🙏🏻🤍

This last bucketload is for Kate . If you’re local & fancy a bunch, do go & visit her lovely barn.

Another day, another delivery of the most delicious jewel toned tulips, geums & fritillaria. These particular fritillaria are ‘Persica’ and stand sentinel & statuesque in the garden. The bulb is bigger than a tulip but easy to plant a few inches deep in the ground in autumn. You will be rewarded throughout April with the most graceful spires full of dainty deep purple/ green bells. If you have a garden or a pot, I wholeheartedly recommend a few to brighten up a Spring morning. They have a good vase life too.

The tulips are still triumphant. Wyndham & Aveyron are a firm favourite this year. Big, blowsy, peony types.

These blooms can be found at some of Birmingham’s most fabulous & female run independent stores & . I feel very lucky to have these wonderful women championing my flowery venture 🤍.

When the florist asks for ‘tall’ and you have these beauties growing 🌱. Fritillaria ‘Green Spire’ have the most majestic & strong presence whilst retaining a delicate beauty with their individual dainty bells. The geums are tall, tall, tall too. Particularly ‘Totally Tangerine’. If you are looking for a beautiful & reliable flowering perennial, I would really recommend this for your garden, spoiling you with flowers from Spring right through to Autumn 🧡.

Oh, and the tulips are still triumphant.

These beauties are for to work her magic with.

A wonderful morning spent with ten Lovely Ladies who visited Ombersley Flower Farm. We ate cake, drank tea, talked flowers and the ladies decided which tulips they would like to have in a bouquet. I was so busy showing them around, I forgot to take any pics during the day but here are the blooms all made into a posy or bouquet just before I left to deliver them.

N A R C I S S I: The delicate hues and fragrant narcissi are still blooming & dancing in the field. The tree peony is in full flower; glorious yet fleeting. The airiness of the display gives each narcissus their moment, all tucked up in my absolutely gorgeous mug.

T U L I P S: This vibrant procession of parrot, peony and double tulips left Ombersley Flower Farm today along with dainty Leucojum, glorious geums and towering fritillaria.

The parrot tulips have wild & frilly petals, practically swooning in the vase. The peony and double tulips exude a quiet elegance, unfurling their petals with graceful finesse.I think of each one as a work of art; bursting with texture & tone you won’t find in a supermarket aisle.

If you fancy a bunch, let me know before they are all gone!

Beautiful, scented and delicate hues of narcissi here at Ombersley Flower Farm.

White narcissi are believed to represent hope & faithfulness. Cheerful yellow narcissi are a timeless emblem of positivity and happy chance and pink narcissi convey sentiments of gratitude and affectionate love. My favourite including ‘Cosmopolitan’, ‘Avalon’, ‘Blushing Lady’ and ‘Edna Earl’ were selected to be grown for their incredible fragrance, beautiful hues and interest as a cut flower.

If you’re local to Ombersley, swing by & grab a bunch before they’re all gone!
