What a fantastic day at Billingtons! 💃🕺✨

Yesterday we welcomed ABC DANCE for “The History of Billingtons – For Nostalgic Oldham” — a wonderful celebration of our heritage, our dance and our community.

From hearing stories about the history of Billingtons and the people who shaped it, to dance demonstrations and Waltz, Cha Cha Cha and Square Tango taster sessions, it was brilliant to see the building filled with music, dancing and memories once again. ❤️

And, of course, no special day at Billingtons would be complete without a little something to eat! ☕🍰 We were delighted to serve our Billingtons Afternoon Tea during the event.

A huge thank you to ABC Dance, everyone involved in organising the day, and everyone who came along and helped bring the history of Billingtons back to life.

Here are a few photos from a very special day… 📸

Then ❤️ Now ❤️ Always

We’re looking for staff to join us at Billingtons 💛

As the venue continues to grow, we’re looking for friendly, reliable people who enjoy working with others and being part of events, community and hospitality.

The role would suit someone who:
✨ Enjoys working with people
✨ Can stay calm during busy events
✨ Is flexible with evenings and weekends
✨ Takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere
✨ Wants to be part of a historic venue in the heart of Oldham

From weddings and dance events to corporate hire, afternoon teas and private functions, no two weeks here are ever the same.

Experience is helpful but personality, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in matter just as much to us.

Please feel free to share with anyone you think may be interested 💫

The building starts coming alive ready for another weekend of people, memories and celebrations in the ballroom.

Today we’re open and welcoming Oldham College into the venue, and this weekend we’re proud to be hosting the Pennine Mencap Ladies Afternoon Tea before a wedding rehearsal on Sunday ahead of a very special day.

If you’re searching for a venue with character, history and a genuinely caring team behind it, we’d love to chat.

If you’re in business locally, the last Thursday morning of the month is quickly becoming the place to be in Oldham ☕

Our Billingtons Business Breakfast continues to sell out month after month, bringing together a brilliant mix of local businesses, friendly faces and genuine conversations in the ballroom.

For just £8.50, you’ll enjoy a breakfast sandwich with tea or coffee while networking with like minded people from across Oldham and the surrounding areas.

No awkward pressure.
No stuffy corporate feel.
Just good people, good conversation and a really welcoming atmosphere.

Our next breakfast takes place on Thursday 21st May and spaces are already being booked.

If you’ve been meaning to come along, this is your sign 👀

Who are you bringing with you this month? 💛

10/05/2026

Some buildings are just buildings.
And some hold decades of memories 💛

Every week at Billingtons, people walk through the doors and tell stories about dances they came to years ago, family celebrations they still remember, or nights out in Oldham that started right here in the ballroom.

That’s what makes this place special to me.

It’s not just about events... it’s about giving people somewhere to come together again.

Whether it’s a dance class, a birthday party, a business event, a charity fundraiser or a family gathering, there’s something lovely about seeing the room full of life and conversation.

And during the more difficult moments in life, we’re also here to offer a calm, welcoming space for funeral wakes and celebrations of life, helping families come together comfortably with care and respect.

I really believe places like Billingtons still matter in Oldham.

If you’re looking for a venue with character, history and heart, we’d love to welcome you in for a chat and show you around.
