A week in flowers, sleepy bee, the Cobea is flowering & the Roses are grateful for a good drink. The garden might recover after all just in time for an Autumn of abundance. It has been a glorious Summer, I have loved every minute, the plants not so much but we are currently redesigning the garden to fit with our Mediterranean summers, I love a project. Our Flowers & Photography Workshop on Sunday was a day to remember. A lovely mix of people, flower lovers, florists and even a jeweller who despite being a complete beginner created the most beautiful bouquet. We had lunch in the orchard under the Hazel tree and learnt so much from Janne Ford about how to capture your flowers with iPhones & DSLR around the farm. The very best part about this flowery life is the people you meet along the way, pure joy ✨🌸✨

We are opening the garden for a garden tour and history talk from Warden Abbey Vineyard historian Margaret Roberts. The day begins with a walk of the garden and a talk from Rachel & Matt about their journey and evolution with the garden. Then we will hear tales of monks, Warden Abbey and the Cistercian Monastery that once stood here. Margaret is a fascinating speaker and expert in Old Warden history. We will then break for tea and cake in the garden to talk flowers and history.

Today we welcomed the Bedford Floral Art Society for a garden tour. A fantastic group of flower loving ladies who came to see & learn all things flowers & of course the history of this magical place we are blessed to call home. A huge thank you to Margaret for all her historical tales & stories today, you are an inspiration! Special thanks to Matts wonderful parents for always making the tea which according to one member was the best cuppa she has ever had! Birthday Girl Joy got to take home todays arrangement! 🥳💐🥰
