Emily and Will Teaser! ❤️

Friday was a special wedding for me and one I’d been looking forward to for a while, as several years ago I filmed Emily’s sister Sophie’s wedding which turned out to be a pretty spectacular day - Friday proved to be another spectacular one! This day really did have so much in it that the first caption I wrote was too big for instagram to allow!! But when the highlights video is done, you’ll be able to see what a packed day this was. It was my first time filming at House of Elrick, so I was delighted to see the sun out all day! What followed really was an incredible day from start to finish for a lovely couple in Emily and Will. Congratulations to you both and once again, thank you both so much for entrusting me to film your day, I can’t wait to see how everything comes together for you both!

Aimee and Jon! ❤️

A superb day on Saturday for Aimee and Jon’s wedding at the lovely Maryculter House! A very relaxed couple but a busy one for me doing both photo and video coverage solo! An early start let me get everything set up in good time, before spending some of the morning with Aimee and her girls (and of course Taylor on repeat in the background! Always a great choice!). A short spell with Jon and the guys before heading in for a lovely ceremony from Elaine, where Murphy was excited to deliver the rings!! Thankfully the forecasted afternoon rain was nowhere to be seen as we enjoyed the Maryculter grounds and Lee kept all the guests entertained with his fantastic magic! Five wonderful speeches followed as we headed into the evening, before Ian got the party started and kept the dance floor filled with some absolute classics Aimee had picked out! A superb day from start to finish for a really lovely couple! Congratulations Aimee and Jon! Thank you both so much for asking me to be a part of your day! I can’t wait to see how everything comes together for you both!

Lorissa and Michael Teaser! A fantastic day last Saturday for Lorissa and Michael’s wedding at the stunning Cluny Castle! A calm morning preceded a lovely ceremony from Gillian in the chapel. We were treated to some lovely singing from Sola for the entrances and Julie on the pipes for the exit. Into the afternoon and the weather played ball with just some wind and in and out sun to contend with! In the evening we were treated to three superb speeches, Taylor Swift for the first dance (always a winner in my book!) a lovely father-daughter dance followed by a packed ceilidh dance floor from the superb Reel of Fortune! Things weren’t finished there though, as the sun went down, we finished with a sparkler tunnel and a fireworks display - brilliant as always from NJE Fireworks! What a day! Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Comfort and thank you both so much for asking me to film your day for you!

A few favourites from Jade and Adam’s pre wedding shoot yesterday morning down at Aberdeen beach, where Adam proposed! Jade and Adam are getting married at King’s chapel later this year and this was a great way to get them a bit of comfort and familiarity with being in front of the camera. There really isn’t much to it, just going for a walk, a few simple call-outs from the photographer and some lovely images as a result!

This weekend sees wedding season properly kick in for me after a few early year weddings, excited to get going again!

Danielle and Mark Teaser! ❤️

Saturday saw me back at the lovely Logie Country House again for the wedding of Danielle and Mark! A beautiful setup inside the ballroom from Ruffle and Rose added a scenery of green to what was a quick but lovely ceremony from Aunt Marilyn! This allowed for much more time in the afternoon to speak@to and celebrate with their guests, before two lovely speeches from Murray (featured here) and best man Martin. We entered into the evening with a tradition from Orkney, a grand march, followed by some fantastic ceilidh dancing - clearly all talented ceilidh dancers as no instructions were needed! To round off the night, a brilliant guest video diary which started off slowly but a big thanks to groomsman Richard who helped get folk involved, and once others saw how much fun everyone was having, more got involved and left their message too! Special shout out here to “shy” Maria, who I’d been told all day would be fantastic for it, who despite some initial nerves and reservations, did eventually come and say her piece and it was fantastic! Congratulations to Danielle and Mark, what a superb day and thank you both so much for having me along!

Jess and Will ❤️

Saturday saw me back at the lovely Logie Country House for Jess and Will’s wonderful day! A really relaxed morning before a beautiful ceremony which included personal vows (always something I love!), a few funny moments and the traditional tying of the knot! In the afternoon there was entertainment provided by DJ Harry Butler and the Party Putt golf! Although some rain started to fall we did luckily get a window to get some fab pics of the new Mr and Mrs McFarlane as well! Four fantastic speeches followed by a completely packed dance floor where I may have also got in the thick of it for a bit of Sweet Caroline haha thanks boys, just glad my cameras survived that!! A lovely father daughter dance then finished what was a wonderful day spent with a fantastic group of people. Thank you both so much for asking me to be a part of your day! A huge thank you as well must go to for all his help on the day, especially with my voice not lasting more than a sentence!! Hugely appreciated Jony! ❤️

Ashleigh and Josh! ❤️

What an incredible start to my 2026 weddings with a hybrid day at Logie on Wednesday for Ashleigh and Josh’s day! A beautiful frosty morning with a sprinkling of snow on the lawn set the scene for a wonderful day that was to follow. I was going into this one having never met Ashleigh or Josh before but what a genuinely lovely couple they are. It was so heart warming to see they were both a little bit nervous in the morning, but then once they were married the nerves totally dispersed and their two personalities shone through all afternoon and long into the night! A busy day with lots of lovely family pics, a brilliant surprise first for me at a wedding with a groom/groomsmen outfit change ahead of four wonderful speeches, before the superb Carbon Copy kept the dance floor filled long into the night! I’m always a bit nervous ahead of my first wedding of each year (fear of potential ring rust etc!) but I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to get me going for another big year ahead! So many lovely guests and great chat all day really helped make me feel welcome! Congratulations to Ashleigh and Josh! Thank you both so much for asking me to be a part of your day, super excited to put it all together for you both!

This seems an appropriate first post of the year! This is my third consecutive year being nominated as a finalist for “Videographer of the year” in the Top Tier awards for the North East of Scotland and I’m absolutely delighted and so thankful to all the couples who voted for me! Couples can only vote for their top 3 suppliers from their day, and with all the talented suppliers across all categories it really is a special feeling to be nominated. Last year I was quite shocked to win, and it gave me such a special night, a genuine highlight of my career/life as this wee business is something I’ve built entirely from scratch on my own. It was such a great night that I’m potentially going to be sponsoring one of the other categories this year, yet to be confirmed, but giving back to an event that gave me such an incredible feeling is something I feel quite motivated to do. Thank you all and to for such a great event! Good luck to all the finalists this year and here’s to another great night at the end of February!
