🌟 We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our busy independent pub.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef to take full ownership of a fresh food menu, delivering high-quality British pub classics alongside a creative bar snacks offering.
✨The Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of running the kitchen, leading a team of 2 full-time and 4 part-time staff. You will play a key role in maintaining standards, driving consistency, and ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests - many we regard as friends and family.
💫Key Responsibilities:-
Oversee daily kitchen operations and service.
Plan and develop seasonal menus featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Manage and train the team and create and manage staff rotas.
Maintain strict cost controls, including food margins and waste management.
Ensure full compliance with all current health and safety and food hygiene regulations to maintain our 5 star food hygiene rating.
Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships, and relevant stock level requirements.
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up is a must.
You will have strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in delivering fresh, high-volume quality pub food.
Solid understanding of kitchen financials and cost controls.
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
