We have a new Supper Club date! 16 May, East Horsley, 6pm. Tuck into a delicious 3-course meal (you can choose the 2-course option if you prefer) while enjoying good drink and conversation around a single table with new and familiar faces.

Last few days in India! I’ve loaded up on Vit D, family time, and calories. My favourite bit has been not having to do any household chores whatsoever - totally and unashamedly spoiled. I’d have hated the thought of returning to the UK were it not for the fact that it is sunshiney Spring I hear, and I have the biggest project of my life (not counting parenting!) to get off the ground.

Time to tell you that we will soon be setting up home in Little Bookham! Lots has been happening behind the scenes these last few (almost 6!) months, and with paperwork finally underway, it is now beginning to feel very real. I’m conscious that these things move slowly, until they don’t, so it’s been great to have this time off before the madness commences!

One day I will stop singing about the sun, but it won’t be today, because it was bloody gorgeous! 🥳

Here I am beaming at our brunch event in the village hall this morning because there was natural light pouring in!

Off to India very soon, and that’s the other reason I’m feeling most excited. Can’t wait to see family and get my heart’s fill of nostalgia 😍 It’s been a good long year since I was there last, about time!

Pop-up brunch in West Horsley Village Hall this weekend! Sun, 22nd March, 10-1:30pm. Grab a Goan chicken or Old Delhi chickpeas naan wrap or a lamb keema or chilli cheese toastie, crunchy poppadoms and fresh kachumber salad on the side, maybe a cheesy double egg masala omelette sandwich or desi scrambled eggs on toast with chilli oil? Wash it all down with a cold glass of mango lassi! Sun’s going to be out, can’t wait ☀️

Walk-in or book a table, eat in or collect. DM before Sunday to pre-order for collection if you’d like to!

What a gorgeous day it was yesterday! Sun streaming through the windows, daffodils, camellias, forsythia, cherry blossom and grape hyacinth everywhere, finished off with our special 4-course Supper Club for Mother’s Day weekend. Been a week of non-stop prep and cooking - tiring but not in a bad way - the kind that creates seratonin and that you only feel when you finally sit down and then can’t get up again 😂 Just as well today involved a few hours of doing nothing but enjoying wine and good food at and loving that my 7 year old gifted me a cherry red nail polish 💅🏽😃
