Today we visited Leicester Libraries and Community Centres Highfields & St Matthews libraries for some 'Read to the Beat' animal handling fun! Some of our noisiest creatures were there for everyone to meet including guinea pigs Wilbur & George, Cockatiel Poppy & Hissing Cockroaches Basil & Sage.

Here at Lion Learners East Midlands HQ (home) I have been trying to grow more grass in our rabbits grassy area under run where it can't be nibbled. It was run move round day today. As you can see it has been way too dry for grass to grow but I have suceeded in growing some big dandilions! Apaarently they don't need water to grow well. They were gone by bunny bed time this evening!🐰🌿😋 (P.S the bunnies also have access to a patio area on the other side of the fence with shelters, hay and water)

This afternoon we visited the preschool children at Nursery in Nottingham for their graduation celebration. Lily & Lilly leaf Insects were there with some of their creature friends for some animal handling fun! The children were calm and gentle with the animals. It was a pleasure to meet them.

Today we went to a summer garden party for a group of family and friends. Kenyan Sand Boa Jupiter was there with some of our other creatures for children and adults of all ages to handle and spend time with. Jupiter is such a relaxed little snake who is happy in a variety of settings including outside. Isn't he handsome too?

This afternoon we were back at The St Augustine's Academy in Worksop. Today we visited the HUB children and their grown ups for some end of term fun! Red Foot Tortoise Rayo had the best time, exploring their classroom and getting lots of attention from everyone.
